Mapúa University’s Cardinal One earns the Technical Innovation Award and ranks 7th place in the Prototype (Internal Combustion Engine) category at the 2024 Shell Eco-Marathon Asia Pacific and Middle East region, last July 2 to 6, 2024, at Lombok, Indonesia.

The team’s prototype named, “Aguila Neo V”, held an impressive on-track record of 274.4 km/l in the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit.

A true epitome of the indeed. ! 🙌🥳

Mapúa University’s (MU) Cardinal One bagged the Technical Innovation Award and placed 7th out of the 15 teams in the Prototype (Internal Combustion Engine) category in the 2024 Shell Eco-Marathon Asia Pacific and Middle East region held last July 2 to 6, 2024 at Lombok, Indonesia.

After passing the technical inspection portion, Aguila Neo V – as they named the prototype – held an on-track record of 274.4 km/l in the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit. Along with MU, University of Mindanao’s team UMindanao Wildcats placed 9th in the same category.

The Technical Innovation Award supported by the Southwest Research Institute is awarded to a team that demonstrates outstanding technical ingenuity along with optimal use of new materials, components, methodology and inventions in their drive train, chassis, body, instrumentation or tyres.
