Xavierians showcased their knowledge, skills, and competitive spirit through various academic and sports competitions held on August 7, 2026, at the Old Site of Xavier Academy.
Spelling is a test of knowledge, focus, and accuracy, as contestants race to spell words correctly. In the Spelling Bee, San Lorenzo secured first place, followed by St. Christine in second and St. Paul in third.
Badminton is a game of speed, teamwork, and quick reflexes, where every point can change the game. In the Mixed Doubles category, Grade 12 St. Christine claimed the championship, while Grade 9 St. Philomena placed second and Grade 11 Our Lady of the Assumption finished third.
Chess is a game of wit and strategy, where every move matters and one decision can determine the outcome. In the male category, Grade 8 St. Paul emerged as champion while Grade 12 St. Christine took the top spot in the female category.
Darts is a game of precision and concentration, requiring players to keep their aim steady under pressure. Grade 11 Immaculate Concepcion secured first place, followed by Grade 12 St. Christine in second and Grade 7 St. Joseph in third.
The competitions highlighted the talents, determination, and sportsmanship of Xavierians, bringing the school community together through friendly competition and the spirit of excellence.

While other students enjoyed the fun activities at the Old Site on August 7, 2026, some senior high school students had to make a difficult "choice": fun or future? Sadly, Grades 11 and 12 had no choice but to stay in their review class.
While their fellow students were busy competing in chess, spelling bee, darts, and badminton, the senior high school students were busy battling a different opponent: their reviewers.
The review class was conducted by Mr. Al Benedict Zate, who guided the students through lessons and preparations to help them get ready for future entrance examinations.
As the sound of games and cheers filled the Old Site, the senior high school students could only imagine what was happening outside the classroom. While others were aiming for the bullseye in darts and smashing shuttlecocks in badminton, they were aiming for one thing: passing their future entrance exams.
It may not have been the most exciting way to spend the day, but for the senior high school students, today's sacrifice could mean tomorrow's success. Stillโ€ฆ a little badminton wouldn't have hurt, right?

Xavier Academy of Initao officially opened its Nutrition Month Celebration on July 30, 2026, with the Largest and Longest Fruits and Vegetables Contest, where different sections showcased their creativity and teamwork. Winners in each category were awarded certificates and candies to share with their classmates.

The celebration continued on July 31, 2026, as Xavierians enthusiastically participated in a variety of Laro ng Lahi, including Longest Line, Trip to Jerusalem, Don't Let the Balloon Fall, and Pass the Balloon. Students also demonstrated their knowledge during the Nutri Quiz Bee, where Grade 8 St. Paul emerged as Champion, Grade 9 St. Philomena claimed 2nd Place, and Grade 7 St. Joseph earned 3rd Place.
Following the morning activities, students enjoyed lunch together as the fruits and vegetables used in the previous day's contest were cooked and served, promoting the value of reducing food waste and encouraging healthy eating.
The excitement continued as the Junior High School students were joined by the Senior High School students, making the atmosphere even more lively. One of the highlights was the Chair Pass Relay, where teams of 10 participants stood in a zigzag formation and worked together to pass chairs from one teammate to another while holding hands throughout the challenge. The game tested their teamwork, coordination, and communication, earning loud cheers from fellow Xavierians.

The celebration concluded with the awarding of certificates to the winners of the different competitions, recognizing their outstanding performances and participation. Afterwards, the Xavierian community formed their lines for the retreat of the Philippine flag, bringing the two-day Nutrition Month celebration to a meaningful and memorable close.

Together, the celebration reminded everyone that healthy living, teamwork, and unity are the keys to building a stronger and healthier Xavierian community.

The Xavier Academy community gathered in faith for its Weekly Thursday Mass on July 30, 2026, held at the New Site. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Mark Harvey T. Elloreen and was sponsored by Grade 7 St. Joseph. Through prayer and reflection, Xavierians once again strengthened their faith and unity as one community.
