Preparedness took center stage as students, teachers, and school personnel participated in a series of emergency response activities designed to strengthen disaster readiness. The afternoon opened with a briefing from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), where teachers were first gathered and instructed on how to properly guide students during emergency drills. They instructed teachers on the proper emergency procedures before the drill began: upon hearing the first bell, everyone must perform Duck, Cover, and Hold, and after the second bell, they should form a line and proceed to their designated evacuation areas. With everyone informed and prepared, a loud ringing bell soon signaled the start of the drill.

At exactly 3:00 PM, the campus shifted into action as students, teachers, and school personnel calmly followed the earthquake drill procedures. Students moved calmly and orderly toward their designated evacuation areas, demonstrating discipline and preparedness. A search and rescue simulation was also conducted, with one student acting as an injured victim to demonstrate proper emergency response.

The preparedness training continued as the fire drill followed. BFP personnel demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers, allowing students and teachers to apply the techniques through supervised hands-on practice, guiding both students and teachers as they actively participated in the activity. This hands-on experience allowed the school community to better understand fire safety procedures in real time.

To conclude the afternoon, a Basic Life Support (BLS) seminar was conducted, where personnel demonstrated essential life-saving skills such as proper CPR, airway management, and responding to respiratory arrest. Led by Fire Officer 2 (FO2) Mark Lester C. Garcellano, Fire Officer 1 (FO1) Alexander B. Bate, and Fire Officer 1 (FO1) Aries Michael G. Consolacion, the session emphasized the importance of quick thinking and correct response during emergencies. As the activities ended, the school community was left with more than just experienceโ€”they carried valuable lessons in preparedness, teamwork, and life-saving skills.

Laughter echoed throughout the campus as water splashed in every direction, students ran across the grounds, and soaked uniforms became a common sight. After years of waiting, the long-awaited Feast of St. John had finally returned!

After the Supreme Student Council elections and club activities, students eagerly anticipated the celebration. The Feast of St. John was held after classes had ended, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the occasion. Many came prepared with water guns, water-filled ice bags, buckets, andโ€”believe it or notโ€”someone even brought a knapsack sprayer! Across the campus, students were laughing, running, and splashing water at one another without a care in the world.

Even the teachers joined in the fun, making the celebration even more memorable! The corridors became wet and muddy, uniforms and shirts were soaked, and the entire campus was filled with laughter and excitement. Although everything became messy, nobody seemed to mind because everyone was simply enjoying the moment.

It had been years since the Feast of St. John was last celebrated, making this a first-time experience for many students. The celebration's return gave students memories they will cherish for years.

More than soaking uniforms, the Feast of St. John rekindled a tradition that brought students and teachers together, proving that some traditions are worth the wait.

As part of its commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also the emotional and social well-being of its learners, St. John's Institute, Inc. successfully conducted its Psychosocial Support Activity from June 9 to 11, 2026.

The three-day activity provided students with a safe and supportive environment where they could freely express themselves, strengthen their connections with their peers, and engage in meaningful discussions and interactive activities designed to promote emotional awareness, resilience, and personal growth. Through these experiences, learners were encouraged to recognize the importance of self-care, empathy, and healthy communication as they navigate the challenges and opportunities of the new academic year.

The program also served as a reminder that education extends beyond the four corners of the classroom. By prioritizing students' mental and emotional wellness, St. John's Institute, Inc. continues to foster a learning community where every learner feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow into confident and compassionate individuals.

As another school year begins, may the lessons gained and connections formed during this activity inspire every SJIANS to move forward with resilience, positivity, and a renewed sense of purpose.
