John 14:15 ESV
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments."

In this verse Jesus tells us that if we truly love Him, we would obey His commandments. Which are summarized into 2. These are: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength and Love your neighbor as yourself.

As followers of God, let us follow Him fully. Although we stumble, we should try our best to love God by being doers of the word.

1 Corinthians 1:18

For the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Although the world may view that the Cross seems nothing but actually it is what the world needs. The true wisdom and power lies in Jesus Christ not in the worldy things- knowledge, wealth, career, popularity, or earthy authority. Therefore, to those who are being saved by the Grace of the Lord and believed in the finish work of Christ
Let us not be weary but continue to do what we are called.

Not being ashamed of the Gospel but to Preach no matter what the world sees because we know that "The Cross is the one we only have and has true value." 🔥

Luke 4:3-4 ESV
[3] The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”[4] And Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.’”

At this point Jesus has fasted for 40 days and the devil knowing that Jesus was hungry tried to tempt Him. However, Jesus quoted Deutoronomy 8:3 which says that man shall not live by bread alone... This quotation is a reminder to Jesus. In times of temptation, God's word will remind us what we should do and how to face these earthly temptations.

Memorizing scripture is important. We should not live by bread alone but from every word that comes from the mouth of God. For the word of God satisfies the hunger of the soul and gives us a way to deal with the things of this world.

ANG TAPAT NA LINGKOD

2 Timoteo 2:15
“Pagsikapan mong humarap na subok sa Dios, manggagawang walang anomang ikahihiya, na gumagamit na matuwid ng salita ng katotohanan.”

Reflection:
May pamantayan ang bawat uri ng paglilingkod. Kung magluluto, ang pamantayan ay marunong magluto. Kung magtuturo, dapat marunong magturo. Ganoon din sa paglilingkod sa Diyos—may pamantayan Siya para sa mga lingkod Niya.

Hindi tao ang nagtatakda ng pamantayan kundi ang Diyos mismo. Siya ang nagbibigay ng sukatan kung sino ang tunay na lingkod na kalugod-lugod sa Kanya.

Sa 2 Timoteo 2:15, makikita ang tatlong katangian ng tapat na lingkod:

I. Kalugod-lugod sa paningin ng Diyos
II. Walang itinatago o ikinakahiya
III. Tama ang paggamit sa Salita ng Katotohanan

I. Kalugod-lugod sa paningin ng Diyos
Ang tunay na lingkod ay hindi naghahanap ng papuri ng tao, kundi ng pagsang-ayon ng Diyos. Ang kanyang layunin ay mapalugod ang Panginoon sa lahat ng ginagawa niya. Ang puso niya ay nakatuon hindi sa sariling kapakanan, kundi sa kalooban ng Diyos.

II. Walang itinatago o ikinakahiya
Ang lingkod ng Diyos ay tapat at lantad. Walang pagkukunwari, walang pinagtatakpan, at hindi nahihiya sa kanyang paglilingkod. Matatag siya sa pananampalataya at hindi natitinag sa kahihiyan o panlilibak ng tao.

III. Tama ang paggamit sa Salita ng Katotohanan
Mahalaga sa isang lingkod ang tamang paghawak at pagpapaliwanag ng Salita ng Diyos. Hindi ito dapat baluktutin o gamitin para sa pansariling interes. Ang layunin ay maihatid ang katotohanan nang malinaw, tapat, at kapaki-pakinabang para sa kaligtasan ng iba.

Mark 9:40-41 "Anyone who is not against us is for us. If anyone gives you even a cup of water because you belong to the Messiah, I tell you the truth, that person will surely be rewarded."

Jesus said this to his disciples after they stop a person for using the name of Jesus for their reason is that the man is not with them. But Jesus said that anyone who is not against them is for them, therefore can use the name of Jesus. This verse reminds us that the humble gestures and services we've done out of loyalty will be rewarded, and that God is not only working through exclusive groups, but rather through various individuals who are with Jesus.

What can be against us, when Jesus is with us and his name is for us.

Roma 12:2 ASND
[2] Huwag ninyong tularan ang mga pag-uugali ng mga tao sa mundong ito. Hayaan ninyong baguhin kayo ng Dios sa pamamagitan ng pagbabago ng inyong mga isip, para malaman ninyo ang kalooban ng Dios – kung ano ang mabuti, ganap, at kalugod-lugod sa kanyang paningin.

Mula ng pumasok ang kasalanan sa mundong ito, kaugalian na ng tao ang magkasala laban sa Diyos, kung kaya naman ang talatang ito pinapaalala satin na huwag tayong maki-ayon sa kinaugalian ng mundong ito, dahil tayo ay pinaging banal na ng Diyos at higit sating mga hinirang, tinawag tayo upang sumalungat sa agos ng mundong ito at baguhin ang takbo ng ating pag-iisip hindi lang dahil dito nagaganap kung papaano tayo kikilos sa buhay na may kabanalan, kung hindi ito ay pagbabago din ng pagtingin natin sa bagay-bagay ayon sa mga mata ng Diyos. Higit sa lahat ang utos na ito paraan kung papaano natin mauunawaan ng lubos ang kalooban ng Diyos na mabuti, ganap at kalugod-lugod sa Kanya.

Matthew 5:25
“Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.”

Jesus teaches the importance of reconciliation and making peace quickly before conflicts grow worse. Delaying forgiveness or refusing to settle disputes can lead to greater consequences, both spiritually and practically. This verse calls us to choose humility and peace over pride and stubbornness.

Romans 13:8 ESV
[8] Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.

The Ten Commandments were given by God out of His great love for His people. He gave us His law to guide us, not to burden us.

The root of it all is love, and the fulfillment of it is also love. So when we truly love God and love one another, we naturally live out His commands.

Today, let us choose love in our words, actions, and thoughts — because love never fails and it brings glory to God.
