Cavite State University President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro is among the 2025 Most Inspiring Teachers (MIT) of the Republic of the Philippines.

National youth leadership non-government organization Saceda Youth Lead (SYL) conferred this annual recognition to top 10 Filipino educators in the country for their dedication and remarkable contributions in uplifting communities and the Filipino youth.

Dr. Nuestro, along with this year’s awardees, received honorary conferment as Profesor Ad Honorem and Vitasta Ambassador Distinction by SYL’s international partner Université Henry Dunant during the awarding and formation ceremony held at the Bethel Guest House in Dumaguete City on September 5, 2025.

“This award recognizes educators who, through their courage, compassion, and competence, are able to mold minds and refine character. They do not only teach; they build a nation,” Dr. Dave G. Saceda, Chair and Founder of SYL, said in a statement.
