Celebrating Unity and Fun: A Glance into Our Vibrant Family Fun Day

In the heart of our community lies a day filled with rhythm, laughter, and togetherness—our annual Family Day. As the sun rises, families eagerly gather at our school quadrangle, ready to embark on a journey of shared joy and celebration.

The morning kicks off with a burst of energy as participants groove to the beats of Zumba, led by our beloved teachers. The dance floor transforms into a sea of smiles and sweat as young and old alike move in harmony, embracing the spirit of unity through movement.

Following the invigorating workout, the stage is set for the opening remarks by our esteemed PTA president, Mrs. Mary Grace E. Pasante. With heartfelt words, she sets the tone for the day, emphasizing the importance of family bonds and community solidarity. Her message resonates deeply, igniting a sense of purpose and belonging among all attendees.

As the festivities continue, the court comes alive with the sounds of traditional Filipino games—the Palarong Pinoy. From Piko, Chinese Garder, Slipper Game, and BINGO, each game fosters camaraderie and friendly competition, strengthening the ties that bind us together as one big family.

One of the most important parts of the event is that families gather around communal tables. Amidst the sumptuous dishes, laughter echoes and stories are shared, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

As the day draws closer, hearts are full and spirits are uplifted. Our Family Day serves not only as a celebration of kinship but also as a testament to the enduring spirit of our community. Together, we stand stronger, united in love, laughter, and the bonds that connect us all.

𝐀𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤 𝐁𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲

"For Faith's A Promise Held Dear"

When gloomy clouds loom overhead,
Petrichor fills the air with dreadful fear,
And heaviness of worries, like tides that spread,
Threatens to engulf the hope once held dear,
Can faith endure amidst storms that roar,
While downpour's weight leave the spirit desolate?

From a place of sanctity, it will ascend high,
A fierce, raging hurricane, desperate to sweep,
A love that knows no end or goodbyes,
A light to guide when the fog makes us weep,
A sacrifice that remedies every lie,
A vow whispered, muted where penumbras sleep.

Curveballs may be thrown into the night,
Scalding tests that burn with the touch of a hand.
But Faith, a gleaming spark, flickers so bright,
Its small flame warming Earth's barren land.
For even the dark yields to dawn's light,
And love's, His, hold endures that never-ending night.

For every hardship, greater trust takes root,
A strength prospering anew.
The weight endured turns into a hallowed fruit,
A sacrifice that rinses clean of any wrong view.
Though uncertainty—doubts linger and never mute,
His tender voice echoes, "You'll rise and renew."

With secure strides, we walk this dimly lit lane,
An enervating voyage testing our core.
But even when the murkiest shadows come out to play,
That gleaming ember kindles to heal and restore.
For His faithful love's a promise muttered every day,
A guiding hand that leads us evermore.

"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."
- Hebrews 11:1

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Death, a profound notion of a conclusion. It is such that the foreboding utterance of the word induces fear. May it be of losing control, consciousness, or influence. Yet for the Son of God, the glorious lamb who consciously chose demise for the world’s salvation, death is the commencement of dawn. For Him, the bread of life who promised everlasting peace and fulfilment to those who believe, death is a deliberate sacrifice.

Thus for Him, who sleeps with humanity in His heart and with linen cloth wrapped around His mortal frame today, let’s voice our anticipation for His promised awakening in silence. Let quiet devotion and tranquillity pervade the present, and joyous hails the tomorrow.

How far can you be dearly
For someone that you love?
Will you sacrifice your life entirely?
For them to be free like a dove?

We are all sinners, yet Jesus introduced us to His love that holds and soothes us like a dear child of tomorrow. With all of the different kinds of love and their capabilities, His love is still the one that ables.

God’s love is never obscure
It is infinite and always pure

A love that is worth praising, a love that is worth remembering, and a love that whispers how dearly He sees us humans. No matter how unclean we are, Jesus gave Himself up in the calvary; walked with the cross whilst feeling the execrable pain of the crown of thorns.

Jesus’ love is the love that sacrifices
A love so pure, it never dies

Jesus died, yet His love remains. It perpetually lives in the most profound way that our mind could ever delve. Every step that He took on His journey is an insinuation that of Him; we shall not be weary. The crucifixion that Jesus has gone through is an absolute testimony to the suffering that He went through just for us.

Therefore, may this day not only commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ but also accentuate His highest form of love that molded us into what we are today. Let us offer Him our deepest devotion and always remember that;

How far God can be dearly
For us humans that He loves?
He sacrificed Himself entirely,
And from our sins, freed us like a dove.

“Journey of Faith: Holy Week’s Reflection”

Within a charming village, the month of Holy Week is commemorated through a sequence of meaningful events, each holding its own importance. A young girl by the name, Angela, steps into the sacred church where devout worshipers assemble in anticipation of the upcoming holy days, showing deep respect and dedication. The week began on Palms Sunday, a day filled with exultation and hopes within the townspeople. Angela embarked on a small venture to sell newspapers but became captivated by the parade taking place on the street. She watched the enthusiastic crowds holding and waving palm branches, symbolizing the remembrance of Jesus's triumphal arrival in Jerusalem. She looked on in wonder, climbing onto a chair to get a better view and taking in the chants of the townspeople with fascination. She observed as children laughed and danced along with palm branches in their grasp, as elders smiled, reminiscing their youthful exuberance of the same phenomenon. Angela tip-toed cautiously as the chair wobbled, causing her to start losing her balance gradually.

Fortunately, a man quickly reached out to stabilize the chair just in time, prompting the young girl to express her gratitude. The man who was somehow in his late 80s wore a gentle smile as he spoke to the little girl perched precariously atop the chair. "You must be careful, child." he advised, his voice carrying a soothing tone that seemed to echo through the rustling space. Despite his age, his eyes sparkled with a youthful warmth, conveying both wisdom and kindness as he offered his
gentle counsel. "Why are people waving those trees?" The little girl inquired, bewildered by the crowd's branches as they waved it in the air. "Ah, you mean the Palm branches, dear," The old man replied in a soft voice, his words carrying a gentle wisdom. "The palm tree holds a significant symbolism, representing victory in ancient times. It is to commemorate the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem." Gazing at the little girl, the old man's face softened into a gentle, soothing smile. He did not respond once more, yet departed in silence, leaving the girl feeling disoriented. As the week progressed, the mood shifted to solemnity and reflection on Maundy Thursday. While helping her mother with dinner preparations for the family, Angela's sibling inquired, "What is Maundy Thursday?" Pausing from setting the table, their mother smiled gently. "It's a day dedicated to remembering Jesus Christ's Last Supper with his disciples before his crucifixion." The mother explained, emphasizing the values of being a leader requires humility, selflessness, and serving others. A moment of quiet reflection filled the room, as the mother continued by telling the story of how Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. By washing their feet, he set an example, that they should do what he has done to them. While the mother recounted the tale, Angela lowered her head and proceeded to clean the table with a wet cloth, all the while engrossed in the story. As she narrated, her siblings were engaged in a playful fight, each trying to grab the other's toy, the mother continued, retrieving the toy from them, "And on that day, Jesus gave them a new commandment: to love one another as he had loved them." The two kids lowered their heads in dismay. "So, you must love one another

As the Holy Week neared its conclusion, Good Friday arrived, and Angela's family went to church to observe and remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, a pivotal event symbolizing his suffering and death on the cross. Angela observed the place in solitude and saw a woman in tears. Maria, a devout woman renowned for her unwavering commitment, traversed the path with tear-filled eyes, sensing the gravity of sacrifice and redemption of their Lord Father. Angela simply watched in silence and sorrow for the woman's silent cries, and the mourning's of the townspeople's dreadful tears. Holy Saturday arrived, cloaked in anticipation and quiet contemplation. The church stood in solemn silence, as everyone draped in black, symbolizing the darkness before the dawn of
resurrection. Angela and her family spent the day in prayer and meditation, seeking spiritual
renewal and a deeper connection with her beliefs. Angela inquired her mother, "What's the purpose of this day?" Her mother smiled. "It is a solemn day when Christians await the joyous celebration of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus."

As Holy Week approached its end, Easter Sunday dawned. The ringing church bells echoed joyously, heralding the victory of life over death. Angela's family gathered at a location to witness the sunrise and commemorate Jesus' resurrection. The younger siblings grew increasingly excited,
exclaiming, "I can't wait to see the sunrise!" "Me too! Me too!" Their innocence cascading. While
they awaited the sunrise, Angela settled onto the floor, mesmerized by the gradual ascent of the sun’s horizon as it unfolded before her. Her features were illuminated by the glowing ray of light as cheers among the townspeople filled the air, celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Angela reflected on the transformative journey she had embarked upon. As each event, from Palm Sunday's exuberance to Easter Sunday's resurrection, had left an indelible mark on her soul. She resolved to carry the spirit of Holy Week with her throughout the years to pass, living out its
teachings of love, sacrifice, and redemption in her daily life.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬

In the holy realm where time bends and eternity whispers its secrets, there exists a hallowed narrative entwined with threads of divine grace and human frailty—a memoir as old as creation itself. It is the tale of God's endless pursuit of his beloved, one that culminates in the motion drama of Holy Week.

From the dawn of creation, God's love has flowed like a river, coursing through the veins of time and space, infusing every atom, every molecule, with the breath of divine presence. It is a love that knows no bounds, no conditions—a love that seeks, pursues, and ultimately redeems.

The journey begins with Palm Sunday, a jubilant procession marked by the waving of palm fronds, a symbolic welcome for the King of Kings. Yet, even amidst the joyous acclaim, there lingers a sombre undertone—a foreshadowing of the trials to come.

The shadow of the cross looms large on the horizon—even as the shouts of “Hosanna!” resounds through the streets. God’s love is not a love that shies away from suffering or sacrifice, it is a love that embraces fully, willingly, and sacrificially. And so, as the week unfolds, we journey with Jesus through the poignant rituals of Maundy Thursday—the Last Supper, the washing of feet, the anguished prayer in the garden of Gethsemane—where each moment is a testament to the depth of God’s love for humanity.

Good Friday dawns with a heavy pall of sorrow, as Jesus condemned to die upon a cross—a cruel instrument and moment of torture and shame. Yet, it illuminates God's love. That even amidst the agony and despair, His love shines brightly, beyond the darkness of human sin and suffering.

The earth trembles, the heavens weep—a profound moment of cosmic lamentation as Jesus breathes His last upon the cross. It becomes a sacred interlude, a time of waiting and watching, as the promise of resurrection hangs in the balance; Holy Saturday.

And then, on Easter Sunday, the world awakens to the glorious splendour of resurrection—the triumph of love over death, of light over darkness, of hope over despair. Jesus rises victorious from the grave, death is defeated, sin is vanquished, and the power of God’s love reigns.

Holy Week is more than just a historical event; it is a timeless monument to the extent and expanses of God’s love for His children. A love that transcends death and guarantees eternal life. May we be reminded of the unfathomable depths of God’s love for us and be healed by the power of His grace—as we walk through the sacred spectacle of Holy Week.
