💙 Building a Safe, Healthy, and Drug-Free School Community! 🏫✨

The Danao Elementary School Community extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Philippine National Police – Leon Municipal Police Station, headed by PLT Cosmeflor C. Marco Jr., Officer-in-Charge, for gracing and supporting our Capability Building on Preventive Drug Education and Bullying Prevention held on August 13, 2026.

This meaningful activity aimed to educate and empower our learners, parents, teachers, and community members by raising awareness about the importance of preventing drug abuse and bullying, while strengthening our collective commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, inclusive, and drug-free school environment.

As part of our continuing efforts to strengthen school safety and security, the activity also included the inspection of learners' school bags upon entering the school campus, conducted with the assistance of our police personnel and Barangay Tanods. This initiative reinforces our shared responsibility in maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for everyone. 🛡️🏫

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Danao Elementary School, in coordination with the Leon Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), successfully conducted a School-Based Emergency Preparedness and Response activity focusing on Basic Life Support, First Aid, Emergency Equipment Utilization, and DRRM Coordination Mechanisms.

The activity was made more meaningful through the expertise and valuable service of our distinguished resource persons from the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management team:

The activity emphasized the importance of being prepared, calm, alert, and capable of taking appropriate action during emergency situations.

We sincerely believe that the knowledge and skills gained from this training will not only help keep our school community safe but will also equip our learners with life-saving competencies that they can apply in their homes, communities, and daily lives whenever emergency situations arise. ❤️‍🩹

Danao Elementary School conducted its Flag Ceremony on July 6, 2026, with the active participation of its teachers and learners.

As part of the program, Mr. Ronie C. Catanus, School Head Designate, revisited and highlighted the significance of the 2016 Arbitral Award on the West Philippine Sea. He emphasized its importance in promoting awareness of the Philippines' sovereign rights under international law and encouraged learners to appreciate the value of national sovereignty, peace, and respect for the rule of law.

The activity aimed to raise learners' awareness and deepen their understanding of the significance of the 2016 Arbitral Award, fostering patriotism, civic responsibility, and an informed appreciation of issues concerning the nation's territorial and maritime rights. 🇵🇭📚

📢 Yesterday, June 18, 2026, the learners and teachers of Danao Elementary School participated in the simultaneous earthquake drill 🫨 led by their Teacher-in-Charge, Mr. Ronie C. Catanus.
