The 2nd Pinning Ceremony of the AB Economics Department, Batch 2026, was triumphantly celebrated at the Mini Theater, NISU Main Campus, on January 16, 2026.

This ceremony signifies a student’s transition from learner to professional. The pinning symbolizes commitment to integrity, compassion, and excellence. This milestone showed that the students have conquered the obstacles they faced throughout their academic journey. As they step forward, they unfold a new journey of service in their chosen field.

Moreover, we express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Edna T. Suganob, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Mr. Mark G. Marcelino—an alumnus, a member of the pioneer batch of the Economics Department, and a faculty member of Bancal Integrated School—for serving as the inspirational speaker. We also extend our appreciation to the core faculty of the AB Economics Department, headed by the Chairperson, Dr. Sheila Mae O. Cantara, together with Dr. Leizel B. Francisco, Dr. Mark T. Dasa, the pinning coordinator, and Prof. Jonamae V. Buli.

Our heartfelt thanks also goes to the students, parents, and guardians, as well as to the student committees who attended and supported the ceremony.
