In line with the preparations for the upcoming Kalamay Festival 2026, Campus Administrator Dr. Michael B. Dizon convened the seven barangay captains and their respective treasurers, along with faculty and staff members serving on the festival committees, for a planning meeting held at the campus Audio-Visual Room, June 16.
The meeting focused on the organization and resource requirements of the Hubon, particularly its participation in the highly anticipated Dance Drama Competition, one of the festival's major highlights.
A key agenda discussed was the financial commitment of the partner barangays. Dr. Dizon emphasized the importance of collaborative support, noting that the activity would require substantial resources to ensure a competitive and well-prepared presentation. Following discussions, the barangay officials expressed their commitment to contribute and support the undertaking, resulting in a consensus on the financial arrangements needed for the activity.
The gathering also reached significant decisions regarding the artistic direction of the Hubon. Participants agreed on the selection of a choreographer and their professional service package that could prepare the group's winning performance and strengthen its bid for championship in this year's competition.
Beyond the meeting with barangay leaders, campus officials have also engaged various stakeholders as part of the planning and resource-generation efforts for the festival. Among them is the Parents Faculty Association (PFA), led by President Mrs. Salvacion P. Jaena, whose continued support has been instrumental in the implementation of campus programs and activities.
The collaborative efforts of local government partners, campus personnel, and community stakeholders manifest a shared commitment to ensuring a successful and competitive participation in the Kalamay Festival 2026.

Campus Administrator Dr. Michael B. Dizon convened academic and administrative unit heads, along with key campus personnel, on June 10 to review office budget utilization and initiate preparations for the university's participation in the Kalamay Festival 2026.
The morning session focused on the financial status of the campus as the fiscal year approaches the completion of its second quarter. Heads of various academic and administrative offices presented updates on their respective budgets, including available balances and projected expenditures for the remaining two quarters of the year.
To facilitate effective resource allocation and procurement planning, the offices also reviewed their Project Procurement Management Plans (PPMPs) and Annual Procurement Plans (APPs). This encouraged unit heads to identify and prioritize the supplies, equipment, and services necessary to support office operations, as well as academic and administrative programs and activities.
Dr. Dizon emphasized the importance of strategic budget utilization to ensure that institutional goals and operational requirements are met within the fiscal year.
In the afternoon, faculty and staff members designated under various committees for Kalamay Festival 2026 gathered for a planning session in preparation for the university's participation in the annual municipal celebration spearheaded by the Local Government Unit of San Enrique.
The meeting was conducted in accordance with a memorandum identifying the committee structure and assigned personnel responsible for coordinating the university's involvement in the festival. Discussions centered on budget requirements, committee responsibilities, and strategic plans for the implementation of festival-related activities.
Committee members consulted with the Administrative Officer, campus accountant, and budget officer to align proposed plans with available resources and financial guidelines. The collaborative planning session ensured an organized and effective participation of the university in Kalamay Festival 2026 while maximizing available resources and institutional support.
The series of meetings underscored the campus administration's commitment to sound financial management and proactive planning in advancing both institutional operations and community engagement initiatives.
