August 21, 1983, marks the tragic day when Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. was assassinated at Manila International Airport. He was a brave and dedicated leader of the Philippines. His death shocked the nation and many stood up for change. Ninoy Aquino was a passionate advocate for democracy, justice, and the Filipino people's welfare.

Today marks the 43rd death anniversary of Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. His unwavering commitment to freedom and his sacrifice in the face of adversity made him a resemblance of resistance and hope. His legacy as a hero who fought tirelessly for his country continues to motivate Filipinos. May his legacy continue to inspire us to stand for what is right, uphold the values he fought for, and work together toward a better and stronger Philippines.

That statement from Thomas Jefferson shows how much media specifically journalism shows the movement of the press and how showcasing the truth helps open the eyes and ears of the people, as July 25 begins let us acknowledge the "Campus Press Freedom Day" , a holiday showcases the appreciation of campus journalism. โœ’๏ธ

As generations continue, our intellect about campus journalism thrives, teaching young adolescence to be vigilant, open-minded, and compassionate for providing truth and voicing what is right. This holiday does not only appreciate the work of campus journalists but also gives the community a chance to know how much work is put in to provide factual information for the general public. Journalism isn't only words on paper nor is it based on a bias stand, journalism is the compassion of an individual to serve as a watchdog of the nation.
