Things are getting a little messy and a whole lot of fun at Joybox today! Our students took over the kitchen for a hands-on watermelon slicing activity, and let’s just say—the results were sweet!

🧠 What’s Growing (Besides the Seeds!)

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀: Gripping, positioning, and slicing helps develop those tiny hand muscles and coordination.

𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: From the "thump" of a ripe melon to the sticky texture and cool scent, it was a full-blown sensory party.

𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: Learning to slice safely (with kid-friendly tools!) takes a steady hand and a lot of concentration.
