The Iloilo Research Outreach Station-Cabatuan Satellite Office and Research Division, DA Western Visayas, has been granted funding from the Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) for a research study titled "Development of Production System of Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens L.) Frass in Region 6." The project's objective is to establish a production system for black soldier fly farming in Region VI that utilizes frass as an organic fertilizer. Study 1 will assess the socio-demographic profile, agricultural knowledge, farm characteristics, production practices, economic factors, challenges, and coping mechanisms of BSF farmers in the Municipality of Tubungan. The insights will be used to establish targeted support programs that will improve the productivity and sustainability of BSF farming.

Alam niyo ba mga Ka-Agri na ang Cacao ay itinaguriang Tree of Love na hango sa kanyang scientific name na "Theobroma Cacao" na ang ibig sabihin ay "Food of the God."

Nagbibigay ang DA ng libreng planting materials at nagsasagawa rin ng technology production training, coaching, at market matching activities. Kung ikaw ay bida-bidang cacao farmer ng rehiyon, magkakaroon ka ng pagkakataong makasali sa mga Cacao Congress locally and abroad. Okay ba yun Lods?
