Today marks a proud moment for Igpigus Integrated School as it celebrates the completion of a school building during today’s “Voices from the Frontline” on AFP’s DWDD Radio Program.
Representing the school, Junior High School Teacher Mary Mae Jabonete shared the positive impacts of the completed school building constructed under the Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). She highlighted how the completed building has significantly elevated the learning environment and strengthened the school’s role within the community.
Due to internet connectivity limitations in the barangay, Teacher Mary Mae conducted the online session from the Igbaras Municipal Hall, with technical assistance from Mariel Jude Patiam the Officer-in-Charge of the Municipal Planning and Development Office, who is also an alumna of the school. She was also accompanied by her co-teacher, Aseret Escobanez Odelot Ms. Teresa Toledo.
The completion of the school building stands as one of the transformative SBDP projects aimed at enhancing services in former conflict-affected and underserved barangays.
DWDD Radio featured the interview as part of its ongoing coverage of successful development initiatives implemented through inter-agency collaboration and community involvement. Deep gratitude is also extended to the barangay officials of Barangay Igpigus for choosing this project.
The whole Igpigusnon community is proud, and Igpigus Integrated School is enjoying this well-deserved moment in the spotlight.
