ANHS Receives Most Discipline Award at Igbaras Municipal Meet 2026

Alameda National High School (ANHS) proudly received the Most Discipline Award during the Closing Program of the Igbaras Municipal Meet 2026, on August 16, 2026, a testament to the cooperation, unity, and sportsmanship of its delegation throughout the three-day event.

The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to the student-athletes and selected learners whose discipline and teamwork brought honor to ANHS. Special thanks are also given to the parents and guardians for their unwavering support in allowing their sons and daughters to participate.

ANHS likewise acknowledges the General PTA Officers, who generously facilitated food provisions for the athletes, ensuring their strength and well-being during the competitions. The school also expresses deep appreciation to the sponsors whose contributions made the delegation’s journey possible.

Most importantly, ANHS extends its sincere gratitude to Hon. Vicente E. Escorpion, Jr., Municipal Mayor of Igbaras, for providing free transportation services to the participants throughout the three-day event. This invaluable support enabled the athletes to compete with ease and confidence, reflecting the LGU’s strong commitment to youth development and sports excellence.

The school also recognizes the excellent leadership of Dr. Ricky T. Salabe, Principal I, whose guidance continues to inspire the ANHS community. Equally commendable is the outstanding facilitation of the faculty members assigned to their respective events, led by Sports Coordinator Ma’am Raven M. Samillano.

This recognition reflects the values of discipline, unity, and excellence that ANHS continues to uphold, both in academics and athletics.

Alameda NHS Shows Grit in 3x3 Basketball Match Against Igtalongon NHS

Alameda National High School (ANHS) proudly showcased resilience and determination in the 3x3 Basketball Tournament, battling until the final whistle despite a 21–13 result against Igtalongon NHS on August 15, 2026 at the Igbaras Covered Gym.

Donning their newly unveiled pink jerseys, the ANHS team composed of John Mark Elanga, Mark Lawrence Esmaya, Keith Ivan Estilloro, and Dario John Estoquia stood firm on both ends of the court. From defense to offense, the players demonstrated discipline, teamwork, and unwavering spirit, refusing to yield even as their opponents maintained the lead.

The fast-paced play of Igtalongon NHS tested Alameda’s composure, yet the team responded with focus, synchronized defense, and mutual support. Teachers and coaches provided constant guidance and encouragement, while classmates and spectators filled the covered court with cheers, proving the strong community backing for ANHS athletes.

Although the victory went to Igtalongon, the match served as a valuable learning experience for Alameda. Coaches emphasized that the game will strengthen the team’s preparation for future competitions. More than the score, the players emerged winners in heart, discipline, and sportsmanship.

On behalf of the ANHS faculty, Dr. Ricky T. Salabe, School Head, extends his gratitude to the parents of the players, the supporters, and especially to trainer Vynse Ellebanoj Halaba for his dedicated guidance.

This contest marks only the beginning of many challenges ahead. With perseverance and commitment, ANHS athletes remain inspired to strive harder, ready to reclaim victories in the games to come.
