BLIS Program Orientation 2026

As the University welcomes a new academic year, the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) Program officially gathered its new and returning students for the BLIS Program Orientation 2026 yesterday, July 7, 2026 at BLIS Simulation Room. The activity served to orient students on the program's academic policies, expectations, opportunities, and student services while formally welcoming the incoming freshmen into the BLIS community. It also marked the beginning of another year of learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

The orientation was spearheaded by Mrs. Cozette Gregorios, BLIS Academic Supervisor, together with the dedicated BLIS faculty and the officers of the Library and Information Science Students' Association (LISSA). Through this meaningful gathering, students were encouraged to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and service as they prepare to become competent, innovative, and future-ready information professionals.

Curriculum Review 2026

The BLIS faculty members and student representatives, led by the BLIS Academic Supervisor, Mrs. Cozette Gregorios, convened today, July 7, 2026, at the USA Graduate Studies and Periodicals for the Curriculum Review of the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) program.

This collaborative undertaking aims to revisit and evaluate the effectiveness and relevance of the current curriculum in response to the evolving demands of the library and information profession. Through the active participation and valuable insights of faculty and students the program seeks to further strengthen and enhance the curriculum to ensure that it remains responsive, innovative, and aligned with industry standards.

Together, we continue to shape a curriculum that empowers future library and information professionals to become competent, ethical, and globally competitive leaders in the field.
