Welcome to the most vibrant town in the South, Tigbauan!

Tigbauan, Iloilo, boasts a rich history and known as the “Liberation Town”, traces its history back to the Spanish era, with its name believed to be derived from the abundant tall grass called “Tigbaw” or Reed grass and it became a pueblo in 1575.

Tigbauan also called as “Banwang Ma-Pinalanggaanon” as described by the visitors and tourists.

The town played a role in the Philippine Revolution, Liberation of Panay Island during World War II.
