🔢 Solving Problems and Strengthening Reading Comprehension 📖
Since the second week of June, the dedicated Mathematics and English teachers of Bo. Obrero National High School have been conducting various assessments to evaluate and enhance learners' numeracy and literacy skills.
In Mathematics, learners took the Enhanced Regional Unified Numeracy Test (ERUNT) and the Rapid Assessment in Mathematics (RAM). ERUNT is designed to measure learners’ basic numeracy and mathematical skills, identify learning gaps, and monitor progress through pre-test and post-test results.
In English, learners underwent the Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI), Reading Comprehension Test, Group Screening Test (GST), and Individualized Assessment. Phil-IRI assesses learners’ reading proficiency in oral reading accuracy, reading speed, silent reading, and listening comprehension. It also helps classify reading levels and identify learners who may need additional support and intervention.
These assessments provide valuable insights into the strengths and areas for improvement of our learners in both Mathematics and English.
More importantly, they enable teachers to develop appropriate interventions that will help learners strengthen their problem-solving and reading comprehension skills.
Through these initiatives, Bo. Obrero National High School remains committed to fostering academic growth and ensuring that every learner receives the support needed to succeed. 💙💛

🔴 DUCK. COVER. AND HOLD. 🔴
At exactly 9:30 this morning of June 18, 2026, Bo. Obrero National High School (BONHS) carried out its scheduled Earthquake Drill. Students, teachers, and staff practiced the essential safety protocol — duck, cover, and hold — while also responding to simulated emergency scenarios designed to test the readiness of the school’s medical team.
The activity highlighted the importance of preparedness in times of disaster. By rehearsing what to do during earthquakes, the school community strengthens its ability to respond quickly and effectively, ensuring the safety of everyone on campus.
With determination and teamwork, BONHS proved that it is ready to face emergencies. 💪

🇵🇭 Happy Independence Day! 🇵🇭
In celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day, schools from across Iloilo City gathered at SM City South Point to honor this historic occasion. Representing Bo. Obrero National High School were the dedicated members of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.
The event brought together students from different schools in a meaningful celebration of patriotism, unity, and national pride. Learners reflected on the courage, sacrifice, and heroism of the Filipinos who fought for our nation's freedom.
As we commemorate this important day, may we continue to uphold the values of independence, responsibility, and love for our country. Let us honor our heroes not only through remembrance but also through our commitment to becoming responsible citizens who contribute to a stronger and better Philippines.
Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! 🇵🇭

FIRST GENERAL PARENT- TEACHER ASSEMBLY 2026
The parents, guardians, learners, and school personnel gathered at the school's covered court, they all came together to set vision, give ideas, and share our goals for the school year ahead.
This is more than a meeting - it's a promise, a promise to help build a safe space for learners, to feel supported and to be inspired and to grow.
As teachers, parents, guardians, and students work as one, every child wins.
❤️Together for learning, together for success.
