Every beginning asks something of us: to be brave enough to start, curious enough to keep going, and open enough to become. As another academic year unfolds, it reminds us that every beginning carries the promise of becoming. To every new and returning 𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬, welcome to another chapter waiting to be written.

EMOrtals share the passion and moments that led them to choose the language they now call their field of study. Let’s hear it for this year's 𝐄𝐌𝐎 𝐀𝐬𝐤𝐬, where our 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧 answer one question: "𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡?"

Who knows? Their stories might just sound a little like yours.
