National Earthquake Drill Highlights 2026-2027

The Philippines sits along the Pacific Ring of Fire earthquakes can happen anytime, anywhere, without warning. As we step into School Years 2026–2027, let’s make safety a habit, not just a rule.

✅ What to remember during an earthquake:
➡️ DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON stay away from glass, heavy furniture, and power lines.
➡️ Do NOT run outside while shaking is still happening; stairs and exits can be dangerous.
➡️ If outdoors, move to an open area away from buildings, trees, and posts.
➡️ If near the coast, move to higher ground immediately after shaking tsunami risk is real.

✅ After the shaking stops:

- Check yourself and others for injuries; do not move seriously hurt people unless in immediate danger.

- Watch out for falling debris, broken glass, and damaged power or gas lines.

- Expect aftershocks stay alert.

- Listen only to official updates from PHIVOLCS, NDRRMC, LGUs, and school authorities. Avoid sharing unverified posts or rumors.
