Sa gitna ng nakakapaso na init at biglaang pagkawala ng kuryente, asahan mong hihinto ang lahat… pero para sa mga estudyante ng King’s Way Baptist Academy, ang dilim ay hindi pader, kundi isang hamon na kailangan lang nilang lampasan.

Sa halip na ipikit ang mga mata o maghanap ng mas malamig na lugar, mabilis nilang binuksan ang kanilang mga libro. Ang tunog ng mga pahinang binubuklat ang pumuno sa katahimikan ng silid. Pawisan na ang bawat isa, pero patuloy pa rin silang nagbabasa at nagsusulat.

Nakakamangha ang ganitong klaseng paninindigan. Ang bawat pahina ay binubuklat nila nang may seryosong determinasyon, kahit na ang liwanag na tumatama sa mga letra ay nagmumula na sa mismong araw. Ang hirap ng sitwasyon ay naroon, pero mas matimbang ang pagnanais nilang matuto.

Paglabas ng mga estudyante ng King’s Way Baptist Academy sa kanilang silid-aralan, dama pa rin ang bakas ng init at pagod na kanilang pinagdaanan sa loob. Gayunpaman, sa kabila ng paglabas sa mga pader na naging saksi sa kanilang determinasyon, hindi pa rin nawala ang ningning sa kanilang mga mata.

Bitbit ang kanilang mga libro, tila hindi natapos ang aralin sa loob ng silid. Ang paglabas nila ay hindi hudyat ng paghinto, kundi pagpapatuloy ng kanilang paglalakbay tungo sa karunungan.
