Former commissioners of PHINMA University of Iloilo โ€“ Commission on Elections (PHINMA UIโ€“COMELEC), now recent graduates of the university, continue to extend their service beyond student leadership.

Upon the invitation of the ๐’๐š๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐š๐ง๐  ๐Š๐š๐›๐š๐ญ๐š๐š๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐š๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ข๐งฬƒ๐š (SK Polopiรฑa), former officers of ๐๐‡๐ˆ๐๐Œ๐€ ๐”๐ˆโ€“๐‚๐Ž๐Œ๐„๐‹๐„๐‚ carried their commitment beyond their undergraduate responsibilities by participating in a community-based voter education initiative.

๐•๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐“๐š๐ซ๐๐ž ๐ƒ๐ข๐œ๐ก๐จ๐ฌ๐จ, ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ข๐ซ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐•๐จ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ'๐ฌ ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง and ๐‰๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฒ ๐‹๐ฒ๐ง ๐’๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐ฎ๐ž๐ซ๐š, ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ข๐ซ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง of PHINMA UIโ€“COMELEC, both graduates of ๐๐‡๐ˆ๐๐Œ๐€ ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ˆ๐ฅ๐จ๐ข๐ฅ๐จ ๐๐š๐ญ๐œ๐ก ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, responded to the call for ๐€๐๐•๐จ๐ญ๐ž๐Š๐š๐ฌ๐ข: ๐‚๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐œ ๐„๐ง๐ ๐š๐ ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐•๐จ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ'๐ฌ ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐ข๐ ๐ง held at ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ข๐งฬƒ๐š ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐ข๐ง ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ฉ๐œ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐ˆ๐ฅ๐จ๐ข๐ฅ๐จ.

Through the initiative, PHINMA UIโ€“COMELEC successfully brought its flagship campaign, AdVoteKasi, with the tagline "๐ต๐‘ข๐‘š๐‘œ๐‘ก๐‘œ ๐‘›๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘” ๐‘š๐‘Ž๐‘ฆ ๐ท๐‘Žโ„Ž๐‘–๐‘™๐‘Ž๐‘›, ๐‘ƒ๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘–๐‘›๐‘–๐‘›๐‘‘๐‘–๐‘”๐‘Ž๐‘›, ๐‘Ž๐‘ก ๐‘ƒ๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘Ž๐‘”๐‘ข๐‘ก๐‘Ž๐‘›," beyond the university. The campaign promoted civic participation and voter literacy through a comprehensive symposium on ethical and responsible voting for both National and Local Elections (NLE) and the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE), while supporting voter education initiatives aligned with national standards for democratic participation.

Through this advocacy and platform, the symposium ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฏ๐จ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐ž๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐›๐ฒ engaging credible speakers who fostered critical awareness, informed decision-making, and active participation among students as members of a democratic republic.
