The Equal Education initiative does not only focus on providing learning, fun, and inclusivity for the Ati children in Lanit, Jaro, but also extends its purpose to understanding the daily lived experiences of its members. ❤️‍🩹🌸

Aside from the learnings and activities during Day 2 of implementation, volunteers also immersed themselves in exploring the creativity and craftsmanship of the older members through weaving. They were introduced to the basic skills and techniques, as well as the materials used, such as buri and nito which serve as the main components in creating well-crafted items like purses, handbags, and hats. 👜🪭

Through our conversation with one of the community’s beloved nanays, she shared stories of traveling across places and mountains just to gather the finest materials, the lengthy process behind the intricacy of each product, and the challenges they face in selling and sustaining their livelihood.

In such a short session, we were able to hear their stories and understand that weaving these products plays an important role in supporting their daily needs.

‎Day 2 of our outreach program was truly meaningful! 💙 Last April 24, we continued our journey for Equal Education with hearts full of gratitude and excitement. The children in Lanit, Jaro once again showed their eagerness to learn, participate, and express themselves in every activity we shared.

‎From creative moments in art to engaging learning sessions, it was inspiring to see their confidence grow little by little. Their smiles, laughter, and determination reminded us that every small effort can make a big difference.

‎Thank you for sharing your art, your stories, and your dreams with us. Your perseverance and passion continue to inspire us to keep going. This mission is not just about teaching, but also about learning from each other.

Day 1 of our outreach program was a success! ✨ Last April 18, we officially kicked off our mission for Equal Education. It was a day filled with incredible energy as the children dove into our activities and tutorials with so much curiosity and grit.

Watching them master new skills during our learning sessions was a reminder of why we do this. From the high-energy games to the quiet moments of shared discovery, seeing their smiles as they learned made every moment worth it.

Thank you for the lessons and the laughter, this is just the beginning! See you again next week, mga alibangbang! 🦋
