LA PAZ, ILOILO CITY—The Western Institute of Technology (WIT) ROTC Unit, under the leadership of LTC NOEL I PARCON INF PA (RES), successfully completed its 11th weeks of Regular ROTC Instruction followed by Special Instruction.
The training commenced with drills and ceremonies, with emphasis on the Ceremonial Parade in preparation for the upcoming Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI).
In the afternoon, the unit proceeded with Special Instruction focusing on Military Stakes. Activities included basic weapon handling and assembly, assembly and disassembly of the M16 rifle, Small Unit Tactics (SUT), Arrival of Honors, and rehearsals for the inspection of troops.
The day concluded with final preparatory activities, reinforcing the unit’s readiness for the forthcoming major event.
The WIT ROTC Unit remains committed to developing the youth into patriotic and nationalistic citizens through a comprehensive program of military training and character building, consistently striving for excellence under the guidance of the Philippine Army.

LA PAZ, ILOILO CITY—The Western Institute of Technology (WIT) ROTC Unit, under the leadership of LTC Noel I Parcon INF PA (Res), successfully completed its 11th week of regular ROTC instruction.
The day began with the practice of the Ceremonial Parade in preparation for the upcoming Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection.
The second hour of instruction featured a lecture on Gender and Development Awareness delivered by Sgt Kate Coleen G Cubacob PA (Res), which aims to advance gender equality, enhance women’s empowerment, and eliminate discrimination by incorporating gender perspectives across all social, political, and economic sectors.
Following the academic session, the unit transitioned to the field for Military Stakes. This practical phase tested the cadets’ proficiency in essential soldiering skills, including small unit tactics, basic weapon handling and assembly, and arrival honors.

LA PAZ, ILOILO CITY—The Western Institute of Technology (WIT) ROTC Unit, spearheaded by LTC NOEL I PARCON PA (RES), Commandant, gathered in a spectacular display of grace and tradition for the highly anticipated Sponsors and Escorts Presentation Ball, held recently at Rts Gymnasium. The event marked a significant milestone for the participants, celebrating their formal entry into the school’s social and ceremonial circle.
​The evening was distinguished by the presence of LTC RICKY G MERCADO SC (GSC) PA, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. LTC Mercado emphasized the values of discipline and leadership and the importance of maintaining one’s integrity while navigating the transition into adulthood and higher service. He also mentioned despite how busy the officers are with their academics, they never fail to fulfill their duties as cadet officers, showing how committed they are to their responsibilities towards the unit.
​The highlight of the evening was the formal presentation, where sponsors and escorts were introduced to the community. The ballroom came alive with synchronized choreography and the sophisticated attire of the candidates, reflecting weeks of rigorous preparation and dedication.
​This ball is more than just a social gathering; it is a rite of passage that reinforces the poise and character we instill in our students. The success of the event underscores WIT ROTC Unit's commitment to holistic development, blending academic excellence with social grace.
