AGRIwanders 👩‍🌾 conducted a Focus Group Discussion 💚

In collaboration with the course AEduc 4202, the 4th year students performed a Focus Group Discussion for the registered farmers association.They organize an extension program titled Harvesting Insights: A Focus Group Discussion on Farmers Association Strategies that was conducted on at Brgy. Bagumbayan, San Joaquin, Iloilo on March 20, 2024.

AGRIwanders 🐔 visited JnJ Dressing Plant in Leganes, Iloilo City

We wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Management of JNJ Dressing Plant and Doctor Jonic Natividad for the opportunity to tour the one of the biggest chicken dressing plant in Iloilo City.It was an incredible experience and we learned so much about the processes involved in poultry production. Thank you for taking the time to explain each step of the dressing process and for patiently answering all of our questions. The tour not only provided a deeper understanding of the industry but also highlighted the importance of food safety and quality control measures. Your dedication to maintaining high standards of hygiene, animal welfare and environmental sustainability is truly commendable.

In the role of educator, facilitator or catalyst, which the agent may need to perform in the course of duties, the agent is associated less with the knowledge/communication aspect and more with the farmers personal development. The agent is less concerned with specific programmes or targets and more with helping the farmers to gain confidence, to organize themselves and to begin to get involved in extension activities. The agent's role is essentially to help support and actively encourage farmers to develop their own initiatives and to begin to tackle their own problems.

AGRIwanders 👩‍🌾 conduct a Community survey 💚

In collaboration with the course AEduc 4202, the 4th year students performed a Community survey for the registered farmers association.They organize an extension program that was conducted on at Brgy. Bagumbayan, San Joaquin, Iloilo on February 18-22, 2024.
The program serves as guidelines on how to create a survey questionnaire for the farmers.
