Happy Teacher’s Day to the amazing teaching staff of Perfecto P. Cuenca Memorial School! 💚📚

Teaching is more than a profession—it is a service of the heart. At PPCMS, our teachers give far beyond lessons and learning. We guide, inspire, listen, encourage, and sometimes become a second family to our learners.

What makes our teaching staff truly remarkable is the willingness to keep learning, keep improving, and keep upgrading ourselves so we can give our learners the quality education they deserve. We embrace new knowledge, adapt to challenges, and continuously grow—not only as teachers, but as lifelong learners.

Thank you for showing that being an educator means serving beyond the classroom and giving beyond what is expected.

May we continue to teach with passion, serve with purpose, and grow together for every child we are blessed to teach.

Happy Teacher’s Day, Team PPCMS! 🌷💚Beyond teaching. Beyond expectations. Always for the learners. ✨

PPCMS Strikes Gold! Serfino Leads Medal Rush at Municipal Sports Meet 2026

Badminton and chess bets bring home gold and silver medals; Serfino advances to the Cluster Meet

ILOG, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL — September 19, 2026 — PPCMS turned in a medal-winning performance at the Municipal Sports and Athletic Meet 2026, showcasing grit, skill, and determination across badminton and chess events.

Leading the school’s charge was Celeste Serfino, who conquered the Girls’ 2nd Singles event in badminton to capture the Gold Medal. Her championship finish earned her a spot to represent Ilog at the upcoming Cluster Meet.

Serfino’s victory highlighted a strong showing by the PPCMS badminton delegation.

In the Girls’ Doubles, Leomaelyn P. Lacson and Chloe Tueres battled their way to a Silver Medal, proving that teamwork and composure can make a difference on the court.

The Elementary Boys’ Badminton squad likewise made its mark as Riley Syfer Divino secured Silver in Boys’ 2nd Singles after a determined campaign against fellow young athletes.

The badminton events were held at Filomena G. Gequillana Elementary School in Barangay Dancalan, Ilog, with Manilyn Seron Germo serving as boys’ coach and Sheila May Moreño Tringa guiding the girls’ team.

Meanwhile, PPCMS also made its presence felt on the chessboard.

Rex Trick Reyes earned Silver in Elementary Boys’ Board 1, displaying patience, concentration, and strategic play throughout the competition. The chess event was held at Galicia Elementary School in Barangay Galicia, Ilog, under the guidance of coach Liezel G. Liezel Gicos Silverio .

With one gold and three silver medals, PPCMS athletes proved that victory is built not only on talent, but also on discipline, training, teamwork, and the courage to compete.

Now, with the swimming team and Serfino advancing to the Cluster Meet, the PPCMS community has another reason to rally behind its young athlete.

The court has spoken. The chessboard has been conquered. And PPCMS is moving forward.

Padayon, PPCMS! 🏸♟️🏊🏆

📚✨ Term 1 INSET 2026 | TEAM PPCMS ✨📚

Two meaningful days of learning, sharing, collaboration, and professional growth! 💚💛💙

The teaching staff of Perfecto P. Cuenca Memorial School successfully concluded the Term 1 In-Service Training (INSET) for Teachers 2026 held on September 10–11, 2026.

From literacy and numeracy recovery through ARAL in Action, to school safety, child protection, psychosocial support, and culturally responsive teaching, our teachers gained practical knowledge and strategies that can be brought directly into the classroom. 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫✨

This INSET reminded us that when teachers continue to learn, our learners continue to grow. 🌱

💚 LEARN. SHARE. INNOVATE. IMPACT.
💚 Together We Learn, Together We Grow!

Congratulations, TEAM PPCMS! 🎉👏
May we continue to inspire, empower, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our learners.

Thank you to everyone who made this training meaningful and successful. God bless us all! 🙏💚

Division Nurses Conduct Vision Screening for Kinder and Grade 1 Learners at PPCMS

As part of the Department of Education's commitment to promoting the health and well-being of learners, the Division Nurses assigned to the Districts of Ilog 1 and Ilog 2 conducted a Vision Screening Activity for Kindergarten and Grade 1 learners of Perfecto P. Cuenca Memorial School on July 15, 2026.

The activity aimed to identify learners with possible vision concerns at an early age to ensure timely referral, intervention, and appropriate support. Through the screening, the Division Nurses carefully assessed the visual health of the pupils, helping determine those who may require further eye examination or corrective measures.

The school administration, teachers, and parents expressed their gratitude to the Division Health Team for extending this essential health service to the learners. Such initiatives contribute significantly to improving learners' academic performance, participation in classroom activities, and overall well-being by ensuring that vision-related concerns are addressed at an early stage.

Perfecto P. Cuenca Memorial School remains committed to supporting programs that promote the holistic development of every learner through collaborative efforts with the Schools Division Office and its health personnel.
