GENERAL NSTP ORIENTATION AND BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING HELD FOR FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

On August 14, 2026 โ€“ A meaningful and informative General Orientation on the National Service Training Program (NSTP) together with Basic Life Support was successfully conducted at the Candon Campus, bringing together first-year students from all degree programs of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC). The activity ran from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The session featured dedicated and knowledgeable speakers who shared valuable insights and experiences on the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), Literacy Training Service (LTS), and Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC), helping students deeply understand the core values of service, discipline, leadership, and active community involvement. Additionally, the Basic Life Support segment equipped students with essential life-saving skills, proper emergency response techniques, and the confidence to act promptly during medical emergenciesโ€”emphasizing that readiness and care are vital parts of serving others.

WITH OUR ESTEEMED SPEAKERS:

Dr. Benny D. Derige
NSTP Director

Major Alejandrino C Delos Santos Jr. (Res), PA
Commandant

This orientation marked a meaningful start to our NSTP journeyโ€”reminding us that being a student goes beyond academic learning; it also means growing a heart and commitment to serve, lead, and contribute to our communities.
