Bantugo-Mission Integrated School (BMIS) has successfully installed fire extinguishers in all classrooms and school buildings to strengthen campus safety and emergency preparedness.

This initiative aims to protect learners, personnel, and school properties from fire hazards while promoting a culture of safety and disaster readiness. By ensuring that firefighting equipment is readily accessible across the campus, BMIS continues to provide a safer and more secure learning environment for all.

BANTUGO-MISSION INTEGRATED SCHOOL (BMIS) continues its commitment to providing a safe, healthy, and learner-friendly environment through the successful rehabilitation of its Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Schools (WinS) facility funded through the school's Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) under the Repair Program.

The rehabilitation project aims to improve the functionality, cleanliness, and accessibility of the school's sanitation facilities, ensuring that learners and school personnel have access to safe water, proper hygiene practices, and well-maintained comfort rooms. The initiative also supports the Department of Education's advocacy for healthier school environments that promote learners' well-being and uninterrupted learning. Properly maintained WinS facilities contribute to better health outcomes, improved attendance, and a more conducive learning atmosphere.

The project included necessary repairs and improvements to the WinS area, addressing maintenance concerns and enhancing the overall condition of the facility. Through the strategic utilization of MOOE funds, BMIS demonstrates responsible resource management while prioritizing the welfare of its learners.

School officials emphasized that the rehabilitation is part of the school's continuing efforts to sustain quality educational services by providing facilities that support both learning and health. The upgraded WinS facility is expected to strengthen hygiene practices among learners and reinforce the school's commitment to creating a safe and nurturing educational environment.

MOOE-Funded ICT Enhancement Elevates Teaching and Learning Experience

Reinforcing its commitment to quality and technology-driven education, Bantugo-Mission Integrated School, under the leadership of School Principal Mr. Ronaldo A. Dalit, has successfully strengthened its instructional resources through the provision of ICT equipment funded by the Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE).

Television sets were officially received by Mrs. Vita Valdez, Grade 3 Adviser; Mrs. Rosalina Cabasan, Grade 5 Adviser; Mr. Martin Jhon Barnachia; and Mrs. Desiree Balantac for the Junior High School teachers. Meanwhile, laptops were entrusted to Ms. Olive De Guzman, JHS Teacher, and Mrs. Mina Joy Alejandro, Grade 6-Diamond Adviser.

The turnover of these instructional tools marks another milestone in the school’s continuous efforts to modernize classroom instruction. These resources are expected to enhance lesson delivery, support multimedia-based teaching strategies, and foster more interactive and engaging learning experiences for learners across grade levels.

In addition, several television units previously removed from classrooms were properly reallocated and transferred to different school facilities to ensure their continued usefulness and efficiency. These units were distributed to the School Canteen, School Clinic, BMIS Office, and School Library, where they will support information dissemination, learner services, and school operations.

Through this initiative, the school further affirms its dedication to equipping teachers with relevant digital tools that promote innovation, efficiency, and learner-centered education.

As part of her heartfelt send-off, Mrs. Melanie “Ma’am Lanie” De Vera shared one final memorable moment with the BMIS family as she joined the lively “Hawak Mo ang Beat” dance number before returning to her home station, Burgos National High School.

Teachers, staff, and learners cheered as Ma’am Lanie gracefully danced alongside her colleagues, symbolizing the strong bond, camaraderie, and happy memories she built during her tenure at Bantugo-Mission Integrated School. The special performance became one of the highlights of the send-off program, bringing smiles, laughter, and a touch of nostalgia to everyone present.

BANTUGO, Nagbukel, Ilocos Sur — The Bantugo-Mission Integrated School (BMIS) family gathered in a heartfelt send-off program to honor Mrs. Melanie M. De Vera, Science Teacher and Master Teacher I, as she officially concluded her tenure at BMIS and returned to her home station, Burgos National High School.

The event became a celebration of gratitude and appreciation for a teacher whose dedication, leadership, and compassion have left a lasting mark on the school community. Colleagues, learners, parents, and stakeholders came together to recognize her invaluable contributions and the countless lives she touched throughout her stay at BMIS.

For years, she has been more than a Science teacher. She has been a guiding light whose wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment have shaped not only the minds of learners but also the hearts of fellow educators. Her motherly care, gentle guidance, and sense of direction have served as a compass for young teachers who sought advice, encouragement, and inspiration in their professional journey.

Her dedication to service is reflected in the countless sacrifices she made—traveling long distances and arriving at school at the break of dawn, day after day, never allowing challenges to stand in the way of her commitment to education. Our school community recently came together to hold a heartfelt Welcome Program for our newest faculty member, Mrs. April Joy B. Villanueva. It was a morning marked by professional camaraderie and a shared vision for excellence in education.

The program commenced with opening remarks from our Principal I, Mr. Ronaldo A. Dalit, who warmly welcomed Mrs. Villanueva and underscored the value of dedication in shaping our students' futures. Following this, Mrs. Karen A. Lagrand introduced our new colleague, highlighting the impressive background and passion for teaching that Mrs. Villanueva brings to our team.

In a sincere and inspiring response, Mrs. April Joy B. Villanueva expressed her gratitude for the warm reception. She shared her enthusiasm for joining the faculty and her commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for her students.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks delivered by Mr. Reymart L. Cabanero, who spoke on the importance of unity and collaboration among staff members. He offered words of encouragement, pledging the collective support of the department as Mrs. Villanueva begins this exciting new chapter.

San Basilio Boosts Savers

Bantugo- Mission Integrated Savers received a back-to-school boost through the distribution of school supplies from San Basilio Cooperative as part of its continuing initiative to support education and promote the value of saving among learners.

The school supplies were received on July 11, 2026, and were distributed by the school principal, Mr. Ronaldo A. Dalit, together with the advisers of the savers. The program aims to help student-savers prepare for the opening of classes by providing essential school materials that will support their academic needs. It also encourages financial responsibility and the habit of saving at an early age.

San Basilio Cooperative emphasized its commitment to youth development and member support through programs that directly benefit student savers. Beneficiaries warmly received the assistance, expressing gratitude as the school supplies will greatly help them in their studies for the new school year.
