MSU-IIT increases global research visibility with paper presentation at ICICT 2026 in London News | MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology

We are proud to share that the CLENS project was successfully presented at the 11th International Congress on Information and Communication Technology (ICICT 2026) in London, United Kingdom, a highly selective conference with an acceptance rate of only 18%. The presentation sparked meaningful discussions among international participants, many of whom reflected on their own local challenges in garbage pickup coordination, transparency, and service accountability. It was inspiring to see how CLENS resonated beyond borders, highlighting the relevance of mobile-first digital coordination as a practical and scalable solution for community-based waste management. From a campus pitching idea to an internationally presented research project, CLENS continues to grow with one purpose: serving communities through responsible and transparent innovation.

On February next year, CLENs will be sharing the Alpha Testing results to the scientific community. We hope that this will fuel discussions to further develop the app to support the community.
We would like to express our thanks to those who joined and evaluated the Alpha release of our app.

We are proud to share that the CLENs Project — a gamified IoT-based awareness system for waste management — was successfully presented today at the 23rd MSU-IIT Annual In-House Review of Research and Development Projects held at MSU-IIT.
The project was presented by Mr. Theodore Charlmagne D. Yancha, with Prof. Orven E. Llantos, PhD (Project Leader) providing additional insights during the Q&A session.
The panel commended the project’s innovative approach and its strong potential to influence public behavior toward proper garbage disposal—a meaningful step toward building a cleaner, more sustainable environment for all. 🌎💚
