A Week Closes, a Commitment Begins: Carry the Light of Kindness Forward 🩷💚
As Mental Health Week 2025 comes to an end, we extend our gratitude to everyone who dedicated time to pause, reflect, and actively prioritize their well-being. Your participation is a vital step toward a more compassionate community.🫰🫶
Our heartfelt thank you to the entire team who made this event possible: the MiraCall Members, SSC Members, Tabletop Society Members, and the IDS Faculty and Staff. Your effort and commitment to fostering a caring community are immeasurable. 🙌🦋
Let this week serve as a permanent reminder that we never truly know the struggle someone is facing, therefore a little bit of kindness might just be the powerful force that saves something essential within another person. ✊💖
We discuss physical wounds and fitness without hesitation. Let's commit to building that same openness and understanding for our minds. Our goal is to lead the change that makes speaking about sadness, anxiety, or struggle as normalized as mentioning a broken bone. 🙌💎
Always Remember These Truths:
1. It's not weak to ask for help. It is the bravest and most powerful choice you can make.
2. Not all wounds are visible. The most significant battles are often fought unseen. Be gentle and listen to the people around you.
3. Find time to rest. Commit to making those brief moment of self-comfort a crucial priority.
Continue to look out for yourselves and one another. Keep taking care of your mind. 🎀

We, Filipinos, know what it means to face catastrophe. We’ve lived through the fear of rising floodwaters, the sound of winds tearing through rooftops, the silence that follows an earthquake — all of which have left homes damaged, hearts broken, and spirits tired.
But even as we rebuild our roads, our houses, and our routines… sometimes, we forget to rebuild ourselves.
Because when the skies finally clear, the storms inside us often remain.
Long after the disasters fade, the impact on mental health endures. Let’s continue to stand with survivors as they rebuild not only their lives, but also their peace of mind.

In the Philippines, research shows that many of our first responders, 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗘𝗠𝗧𝘀, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲𝗿𝘀, face high levels of 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘶𝘮𝘢, and 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. Some studies reveal that while they save countless lives, 𝒇𝒆𝒘 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 to seek help for their own mental health.
The truth is simple but painful: 𝒘𝒆 𝒐𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐𝒐.
Mental health care for first responders is not just an act of kindness, but a 𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚. Programs like 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻 and the 𝗡𝗖𝗠𝗛 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 (1553 / 0917-899-8727) are small but vital steps toward breaking the silence and ending the stigma.
Let’s build a culture that 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒔, 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔, and 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔.
Let’s 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒚 those who stand for us.
Let’s 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕 the protectors.
