After a careful review, deliberation, and interview process, the Office of the MSU System Student Regent, in coordination with the Federation of Mindanao State University Supreme Student Councils (FEMSUSSCO), is proud to announce the official appointment of student leaders to serve as General Secretary and Assistant Secretaries to the Office of the Student Regent.

PROJECT STEP (Student Transformation for Empowerment and Progress), approved under BOR Resolution 16, s. 2025, is a data-driven initiative that empowers student leaders to mainstream the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the MSU System. Anchored on capacity building and evidence-based leadership, this initiative seeks to establish MSU’s Students’ Sustainable Action Plan and Framework Priority Agenda, equipping students to respond to present and future challenges, for MSU and beyond.

Together, let’s build a future-ready MSU that leads in achieving the Global Goals, not just within the system, but as a model for youth leadership across the country.

This initiative, introduced by 𝐒𝐞𝐧. 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐑. 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 and approved by the Legislative Body, aims to ensure 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲, 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 within the SSC. It institutionalizes the documentation and dissemination of all council actions — reinforcing our commitment to 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩.

In preparation for the upcoming campus and national midterm elections, the Mindanao State University at Naawan Supreme Student Council (MSUN SSC)MSUN Supreme Student Council, through its Commission on Elections (COMELEC), successfully held a Voter Education session at the MSUN Training and Student Activity Center.

This initiative is in accordance with FEM Resolution No. 007, Series of 2025, and Office of the Student Regent (OSR) Memo No. 002, Series of 2025, mandating the System-Wide Implementation of Voter’s Education across all Mindanao State University campuses.

The session aimed to educate and empower students on their rights, duties, and responsibilities as voters, both within the academic community and the broader democratic society.

The MSUN SSC-COMELEC emphasized the importance of student participation in shaping campus leadership and contributing to good governance, echoing the MSU System’s commitment to inclusive and participatory democracy.
