The 𝟭𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 held on June 8, 2026 at the CHS Hall successfully gathered student researchers, faculty members, and healthcare advocates in a shared pursuit of advancing nursing science and practice through innovation and collaboration. Anchored on the theme “𝙄𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩: 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚,” the conference showcased the vital balance between modern healthcare innovations and time-honored nursing traditions in delivering culturally responsive, patient-centered, and holistic care.

The program commenced with an invocation, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and welcome remarks from 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗕. 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘂𝗮𝗴, 𝗗𝗦𝗰𝗡, 𝗥𝗡, Dean of the College of Health Sciences, followed by the conference rationale presented by the Overall Chairperson, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗭𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗡. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗮. Participants were further inspired by the message of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗽𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗕. 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼, Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise, and the keynote address delivered by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗝𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝘀, 𝗣𝗵𝗗, 𝗠𝗔𝗡, 𝗥𝗡, who emphasized the importance of purposeful innovation in advancing nursing practice and healthcare delivery.

Taking center stage during the morning session were the 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟭𝟯 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, who showcased a diverse range of research studies at the CHS Hall. Quantitative studies explored topics such as health literacy and self-management among older adults with diabetes, prenatal environmental health advocacy, health promotion through natural compounds, HIV-risk behaviors among university students, and family mental health education. Meanwhile, qualitative researchers shared compelling narratives on the lived experiences of older adult vendors, newly graduated nurses, individuals relying on online health information, nursing students utilizing artificial intelligence in care planning, and Filipino men living with breast cancer. The conference also included innovative research projects, including Amuma, a cardiopulmonary monitoring smart bra for geriatric women; RxMinder, an AI-driven hypertension management system; and Life Tap, a mobile application designed to strengthen CPR training and public health preparedness.

Following the 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 during the lunch break, the afternoon session carried the momentum into the 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀, where participants engaged in dynamic discussions and presentations across various research tracks. Topics ranged from mental health, vulnerable populations, and sociocultural dynamics to health technology, biomedical engineering, disease prevention, nutrition security, healthcare workforce development, and health systems resilience. These breakout sessions fostered collaboration, critical dialogue, and the exchange of ideas among researchers and future healthcare leaders, creating opportunities to learn from one another and explore innovative solutions to contemporary health challenges.

The 15th Nursing Research Conference stood as a testament to the power of research in shaping the future of nursing. By bringing together tradition and technology, the conference inspired participants to continue advancing evidence-based, compassionate, and holistic healthcare. More than a showcase of research, it became 𝗮 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀! 🌱✨
