Ilap Elementary commemorates the 150th anniversary of Emilio Jacinto, ang Utak ng Katipunan. Through a meaningful flag-raising conducted by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and a choral reading about the topic "Bilang isang bata, ano-ano ang pwede nating tularan kay Emilio Jacinto?" by the grade 6 pupils, we honor his courage, wisdom, and unwavering love for our country. Ilap Elementary School Highlights Reading as a Bridge to a Hopeful Future

Ilap, Ifugao — Ilap Elementary School proudly celebrated Reading Month this November with the theme, “Reading is a Bridge to a Future Full of Hope,” emphasizing how strong literacy skills guide learners toward brighter opportunities and lifelong success.

Throughout the month-long celebration, the school organized engaging literacy activities such as storytelling, choral reading, and reading comprehension challenges. These activities aimed to nurture students’ love for reading while also strengthening their confidence and communication skills.

By promoting literacy and celebrating the joy of reading, Ilap Elementary School continues to build a strong foundation for its learners—preparing them to cross the bridge toward a future filled with hope and possibilities.

Ilap Elementary School Celebrates Buwan ng Wika 2025

Ilap Elementary School proudly celebrated Buwan ng Wika 2025 with colorful presentations and performances that highlighted the importance of Filipino language and culture.

The program opened with energetic dance numbers from Kindergarten to Grade 2 pupils, showcasing their talents through lively movements that brought smiles to the audience. Following this was a heartfelt song performance by the Grade 3 class, filling the venue with music that celebrated Filipino pride.

Adding more excitement, the Grades 4 and 5 learners took the stage with a spirited dance presentation, blending rhythm and creativity. The celebration culminated with a powerful speech choir performance from Grade 6 pupils, delivering meaningful lines that emphasized love for the Filipino language and identity.

The event not only entertained but also reminded everyone of the value of preserving and honoring the national language. Truly, Buwan ng Wika at Ilap Elementary School was a memorable celebration of unity, culture, and heritage.

Grade 6 Pupils of Ilap Elementary School Experience First Online Assessment

Ilap, Lamut, Ifugao – The Grade 6 pupils of Ilap Elementary School made history this week as they successfully conducted their first-ever blended mode assessment, combining both online and traditional paper-and-pencil tests.

The assessment consisted of 40 items, with Items 1–20 administered online and Items 21–40 completed using paper and pencil. This approach was introduced to help pupils adapt to digital learning tools while still practicing the conventional testing method.

The results revealed interesting insights into the pupils’ performance. Out of 19 pupils:

8 pupils scored higher in the online test,

2 pupils had equal scores in both modes, and

9 pupils performed better in the paper-and-pencil test.

This activity not only tested academic knowledge but also provided valuable data on how pupils adapt to digital platforms.

The Grade 6 adviser expressed optimism that this initiative will help prepare pupils for future assessments, especially as education continues to embrace technology. The activity highlights Ilap Elementary School’s commitment to innovation in teaching and learning while ensuring pupils are equipped with 21st-century skills.
