UAโHamtic empowers LGU San Remigio through Project RS-AIKS
In an era where technology continues to transform public service, the University of AntiqueโHamtic Campus, through its College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS), took a proactive step to strengthen local governance by implementing its extension project, PROJECT RS-AIKS: Reskilling for Smart and Innovative Governance through Knowledge and Systems, on December 19, 2025, at the San Remigio Municipal Hall, San Remigio, Antique.
Aimed at enhancing digital competence and workplace efficiency, the project benefitted personnel from the Local Government Unit of San Remigio, Antique, equipping them with practical and relevant skills crucial for modern governance. Through a series of hands-on trainings and workshops, participants were guided in leveraging technology to improve productivity, streamline processes, and elevate public service delivery.
๐ฟ๐ช๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ข๐ค๐ง๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐จ๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐จ, multiple trainings were conducted simultaneously in different halls of the Municipal Hall, giving participants the opportunity to focus on tracks suited to their responsibilities. Under ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ง๐ค๐๐ช๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐ฎ: ๐ฝ๐ช๐๐ก๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ง๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, participants learned efficient document preparation and automation through ๐๐๐๐ง๐ค๐จ๐ค๐๐ฉ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ (Mail Merge), facilitated by ๐ด๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ and ๐ด๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐.
Technical skills were reinforced through ๐พ๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ช๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ง & ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐๐, guided by ๐บ๐๐ ๐ต๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐๐๐๐
๐, ๐บ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐บ๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐, and ๐บ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐ฬ๐๐, where participants gained hands-on experience in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and proper equipment handling.
Data management and reporting were enhanced through ๐๐๐๐ง๐ค๐จ๐ค๐๐ฉ ๐๐ญ๐๐๐ก, covering ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ and ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ as well as ๐๐๐ง๐ฉ๐จ ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐๐ง๐ค๐จ๐ค๐๐ฉ ๐๐ญ๐๐๐ก, facilitated by ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐ ๐ญ. ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐ฑ๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐ ๐ช. ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐๐, and ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐. Meanwhile, ๐ด๐โ๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐ ๐จ. ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐ conducted ๐๐๐๐ง๐ค๐จ๐ค๐๐ฉ ๐๐ค๐ฌ๐๐ง๐๐ค๐๐ฃ๐ฉ, while ๐บ๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐ ๐บ. ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐๐ introduced ๐๐๐ ๐ฟ๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ค๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ, providing participants with foundational skills in creating and managing web platforms.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to emerging technologies through ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ผ๐: ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ง๐ฉ๐๐ง, ๐๐ค๐ฉ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ง, held at the Mount Igbangto Hall and facilitated by ๐ด๐โ๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ป. ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
๐. The session highlighted the responsible and practical use of generative AI tools to streamline workflows, boost productivity, and support informed decision-making.
Through PROJECT RS-AIKS, the University of AntiqueโHamtic Campus reaffirmed its commitment to community extension by bridging academic expertise and public service. The initiative underscores the critical role of technology education in building a more efficient, innovative, and future-ready local governmentโone skill, one system, and one service at a time.
