September 22, 2025 โ€” Super Typhoon Nando, internationally known as Ragasa, made landfall over Panuitan Island in Calayan, Cagayan. It was among the most powerful tropical cyclones to affect the Philippines in 2025, bringing destructive winds and heavy rains that affected Northern Luzon and nearby areas. PAGASA reported maximum sustained winds of up to 215 km/h and gusts reaching 295 km/h at landfall.
