Guimaras State University commends its students who successfully hurdled the Agriculturist Licensure Examination (ALE) conducted on November 19โ€“21, 2025, adding a new chapter to the institutionโ€™s record in board examinations.

For this cycle, GSU posted a 70.91 percent success rate among first-time examinees, while its overall performance reached 71.93 percent. Both outcomes exceeded the national passing rate of 68.55 percent, situating the university above the countrywide average.

Beyond the statistics are individuals whose preparation took shape in experimental plots, soil analyses, extension work, and long hours of technical review. Their achievement signals readiness to assume responsibilities in crop production, research, and agricultural enterpriseโ€”fields where competence carries practical consequence.

The results reflect the sustained instruction and applied training upheld within the universityโ€™s agriculture programs, as well as the examineesโ€™ discipline in meeting the demands of professional qualification.

University President Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreรฑo, together with the GSU community, conveys commendation to the new licensed agriculturists. Their entry into the profession strengthens the cadre of practitioners entrusted with advancing sustainable agriculture and supporting the countryโ€™s food systems.

With Typhoon Uwan approaching, the safety of you and your loved ones must be our top priority. Strong winds and heavy rains can pose serious risks, so it is important to stay informed, remain indoors, and avoid unnecessary travel. Make sure your home is secure, emergency supplies are ready, and your family knows what to do in case of sudden changes. Check on neighbors, especially the elderly and vulnerable, and extend help if possible. By staying vigilant, taking precautions, and caring for one another, we can face the storm safely and with resilience.

Typhoons bring not only strong winds and heavy rains but also the responsibility for each of us to act with vigilance, foresight, and care. It is essential that we take proactive measures to safeguard ourselves, our families, and our communities. By staying informed and prepared, we can reduce risks and ensure the well-being of those around us.
๐ŸŒ€ Before the Typhoon โ€“ Regularly monitor news and weather updates, prepare an emergency go-bag with essential items, and stock up on food, water, and other necessities to sustain your household.
๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ During the Typhoon โ€“ Remain indoors and in safe areas, stay alert to changing conditions, and strictly follow advisories from authorities to protect yourself and your loved ones.
๐ŸŒˆ After the Typhoon โ€“ Check the safety of your water supply, carefully assess any damages, and prioritize safety during cleanup efforts. Extend support to neighbors and those in need whenever possible.
Through preparedness, vigilance, and compassion, we can face any storm safely and emerge stronger as a community.
