We proudly open the Volume 2 of the NORSU-G Library Newsletter with the release of its first issue. Catch up on what happened inside the NORSU–Guihulngan Campus Library during the first two months of the year.

This issue features highlights, activities, and updates from January to February, showcasing the library’s continued efforts to support learning, research, and the academic community.

𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬| Day 2 of the NORSU-G Library Book Fair 2026 sees continued participation from faculty members as they evaluate and select academic resources from partner publishing houses to support classroom instruction.

𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 | Day 1 of the NORSU-G Library Book Fair 2026 where faculty members review and handpick academic resources from partner exhibitors CD Books International, Inc., Wiseman’s Books Trading Inc., F&J de Jesus Inc., Unlimited Books Library Services and Publishing Inc., and New Century Books.

Qualifications:

Graduate of any Computer-related course

Knowledgeable in layout and document formatting

Able to prepare formal letters and documents

With good communication skills

Requirements:

Application Letter addressed to the University President (Hon. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, Psy.D.)

Personal Data Sheet (PDS)

Copies of Trainings and Certificates attended

Photocopy of relevant license (if applicable)

Interested applicants must submit two (2) copies of their pertinent documents to the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) of NORSU Guihulngan Campus.

The NORSU-G Library Newsletter officially opens its pages for Volume 2, and we are inviting students and faculty to be part of our recurring literary segment:

✒️ 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐤

Voices in Ink is a bi-monthly literary feature that highlights original creative works from the NORSU-G academic community.

Since February celebrates the season of hearts, our first theme is: LOVE

Love may be romantic, familial, platonic, patriotic, spiritual, or even love for learning. Interpret the theme freely and creatively.

Submission Guidelines:

Genre: Poem or Short Essay

Maximum of 5 stanzas (for poems) or equivalent short length for essays

Must be original and unpublished

Open to all NORSU-G students and faculty

𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 | The Library Office will be 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 as all personnel will be participating in a benchmarking activity in Dumaguete City.

Regular library services will resume on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 | The College of Business Administration (CBA) has submitted undergraduate feasibility studies completed by its Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) students majoring in Human Resource Management.

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖 | Staff from the Supply Office inspected the books delivered by various publishing house suppliers, namely BELLVIEW CO. Inc., Wiseman's Book Trading Inc., New Century Books, Unlimited Books Library Services and Publishing Inc., and CD Books International Inc.

These titles were selected and recommended by faculty members from the different colleges of NORSU-G for inclusion in the university library’s collection during the 3-Day Book Fair held on April 22–24, 2025.
