APPLY AS A VLF BIKOL 2026 WFP WRITING FELLOW!

The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), through its Artist Training Division, is accepting applications for the VIRGIN LABFEST BIKOL 2026 WRITING FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM (VLF BIKOL WFP) happening from July 14 to 26, 2026, through online sessions via Zoom and onsite meetings at the Legazpi City Expo Center, Legazpi City.

The VLF BIKOL WFP is a two-week mentorship program on the study and practice of dramatic writing for the stage. The Program's Writing Fellows will take part in lectures, discussions, and workshops on playwriting and script critiquing. They will also be given the opportunity to watch this year's VLF Bikol featured plays and participate in talkbacks and interactions with its playwrights and directors.

🎶 UNANG BIRIT 🎶

The BCAEd music apprentices took center stage during UNANG BIRIT, a live music performance held at The Frontyard, Townscape Commercial Building, showcasing the talents they have been honing through meaningful apprenticeship experiences.

This event was facilitated by Rexces James Lopez and company of King Solomon Singers, whose guidance and expertise provided the students with valuable exposure to the dynamics of live performance and the professional music scene.

The participating apprentices are currently enrolled in Art Apprenticeship II under the mentorship of Melchor Bravante, where classroom learning is transformed into authentic artistic practice through community and industry engagement.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to Ms. Ma. Christina R. Monasterio, owner of the said place, for generously opening the venue and supporting opportunities that allow young artists to grow, perform, and connect with audiences.

Congratulations as well to the successful performances, music apprentices and/or performers. Here's to more performances, more stories, and more voices ready to be heard.
