✨ Project SHINE: Lighting the Path of Science Learning ✨❤

Gerona South District proudly conducted Project SHINE (Science Harnessed through Interactive and Novel Exploration), focusing on evaluating science instruction through PhET (Interactive Simulation) AI-Based Video Classes.

This innovative project was spearheaded under the leadership of our dedicated Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Roger Ramos, together with passionate teachers who continue to explore fresh ways to make Science more engaging, meaningful, and learner-centered.

Through PhET simulations, learners experienced Science in an interactive and visual way—where abstract concepts became concrete, complex ideas became simple, and learning transformed into exploration. With the integration of AI-based video classes, the lessons became more adaptive, personalized, and accessible, ensuring that every learner can keep pace regardless of learning style.

📖 Gerona South District | Project EXCELL 2025 📖

Gerona South District remains steadfast in promoting the value of reading as our schools conducted Project EXCELL (Cultivating a Culture of Reading and Literacy Excellence through Celebrity Readers Activities)

Spearheaded by our dedicated Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Roger Ramos, this activity brought learners, teachers, and community members together to experience the joy of stories—both in reading and in listening.

Reading allows children to explore new worlds, dream big, and strengthen their critical thinking. Listening to stories, on the other hand, nurtures imagination, empathy, and values that guide them in real life. When these two come together, children do not just gain knowledge—they develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

Through Project EXCELL, we are reminded that every story read and every story heard is a seed planted in the hearts of learners—seeds that will grow into wisdom, creativity, and lifelong curiosity. 🌟

GSD CONTINUES FLAGSHIP MATHEMATICS PROJECT – MATH GOALS-DREAM

GSD was proud to continue its flagship initiative, MATH GOALS-DREAM, dedicated to advancing mathematics education across the institution.

The project aimed to strengthen learners’ proficiency in math while fostering a positive and innovative approach to the subject.

A special note of gratitude went to all School Heads and Project Implementers for their dedication and hard work in sustaining this initiative. The latest phase of the project, including key activities, took place from January 26–30, 2026.
