Our little learners had a wonderful time during our Malunggay Trimming Activity, carefully picking each tiny leaf using their pincer grasp—the thumb and index finger working together. This simple task strengthens the small muscles in their hands, helping develop fine motor skills needed for writing, buttoning clothes, holding utensils, and many other everyday tasks.
As they explored, they also learned that malunggay is one of nature’s most nutritious plants. Rich in vitamins A and C, calcium, iron, potassium, and antioxidants, malunggay helps support healthy growth, stronger bones, better immunity, and overall well-being—making it a wonderful addition to every family’s meals.
Learning becomes even more meaningful when children can touch, explore, and experience it firsthand. Try involving your little ones in preparing malunggay at home—it’s a fun way to build fine motor skills while encouraging healthy eating habits that can last a lifetime. 🌱💚
