Filipino brilliance just conquered the world stage!
The LSIS NEXUS Robotics Team from Living Stone International School brought home the PLATINUM AWARD (CHAMPION) in the Senior Division – Idea Contest at the Universal Robotics Challenge 2025 World Finals in Osaka, Japan!
Their winning innovation “PROJECT HIRAYA” isn’t just a robot , It’s a vision of hope built to support Sustainable Cities & Communities (UN SDG 11) under the theme “A Better World for All.”

What an incredible victory for Living Stone International School! The LSIS NEXUS Robotics Team has brought home the PLATINUM AWARD (CHAMPION) in the Senior Division – Idea Contest at the Universal Robotics Challenge 2025 World Finals held in Osaka, Japan! 🇯🇵

​Osaka, Japan just witnessed the brilliance of our students! We are bursting with pride to announce that the LSIS Nexus Robotics Team has clinched the PLATINUM AWARD (CHAMPION) in the Senior Division, Idea Contest at the Universal Robotics Challenge 2025 World Finals!
​Their winning concept, "PROJECT HIRAYA," (meaning vision and hope) rose above the global competition. The project is an innovative robotic solution designed to help create "A Better World for All" by focusing on Sustainable Cities and Communities (UN SDG 11). Project Hiraya, embodies the NEXUS Robotics Team’s purpose—to be humble instruments of change and a reminder that hope always rises even in the darkest times.

The Universal Robotics Challenge is for students junior high school age or younger. The two divisions in this year’s competition are made for a wide range of robotics skill sets from complete beginners to advanced participants, encouraging each participant to solve various challenges as they deepen their interest in the field of robotics.
