Last May 12, 2026, the Union of Young Marketers (UYM), in collaboration with Maven Youth of Heroes (MYHERO) and the Community Outreach and Service Learning (COSeL) Office, successfully conducted the turnover ceremony for the outreach initiative of the Greenovate Fair for a Cause at the ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐น๐-๐๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ถ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ด, ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ.
Present during the outreach initiative were: UYM Adviser Mr. Lucky Cedrick D. Guyamin, Greenovate Series spearhead Ms. Krisma Joyce S. Salazar, officers from UYM and MYHERO, and representatives from the COSeL Office, Dr. Fedelyn Estrella (Director of COSeL) and Ms. Jenielyn Constante (Office Secretary of COSeL).

This initiative reflects the true purpose of the Greenovate Fair for a Cause, which is extending sustainability, compassion, and community engagement beyond the university and into meaningful service for others.

We proudly share the successful turnover of proceeds amounting to โฑ20,000 to the Kanlong Foundation for Differently-Abled Children last May 12, 2026, generated from the Greenovate Fair and Summit organized by the LPU Cavite Union of Young Marketers (UYM) in collaboration with MYHERO and the Community Outreach and Service-Learning (CSL) Office.
This meaningful initiative is part of the annual activities of the College of Business Administration (CBA), dedicated to showcasing the entrepreneurial creativity, innovation, and social responsibility of students. Beyond promoting business ideas and sustainable practices, the event also served as a platform for students to use entrepreneurship as a tool for community impact and service.
The turnover ceremony was graciously witnessed by the Director of CSL, Dr. Fedelyn P. Estrella together with the CSL staff, as well as the adviser of UYM, Mr. Lucky Cedrick Guyamin and the ENT01B Professor Ms. Krysma Joyce Salazar whose guidance and support greatly contributed to the success of the event.
Moreover, Greenovate Fair and Summit reflects the commitment of young leaders to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

The Local Council of Women of General Trias successfully conducted a Business Growth Seminar for Small Businesses, gathering aspiring entrepreneurs and MSME owners for an insightful learning session focused on business sustainability, legal compliance, and digital marketing strategies. The event was graced by Dr. Maria Teresa O. Pilapil, Vice President for Administration of Lyceum of the Philippines University Cavite, Ms. Anna Lisa Ferrer, Chairperson of the Provincial Council of Women, and Ms. Aisha Columna, Overall President of Nagkakaisang Kababaihan sa General Trias. Dr. Fedelyn Estrella, Director for Community Outreach and Service Learning of LPU Cavite, also served as the emcee and facilitator of the event.
One of the guest speakers, Mr. Leymar Toliba, CPA, JD, faculty member of the College of Business Administration of LPU Cavite, discussed the trending businesses in the Philippines today and emphasized the importance of establishing legally compliant enterprises. He shared practical insights on business registration, legal considerations, and responsible entrepreneurship to help participants strengthen and legitimize their ventures.
Meanwhile, Dr. Vincent C. Cortiรฑas, CMP, CLSSYB, Director of the Center for Strategic Marketing and Communications of LPU Cavite, delivered a session on Social Media Marketing for MSMEs. He highlighted the importance of digital presence, content strategies, customer engagement, and the effective use of social media platforms in expanding market reach and strengthening brand visibility for small businesses.
The seminar served as a valuable platform for empowering local entrepreneurs with relevant knowledge and practical tools needed to adapt and thrive in todayโs competitive business environment.

LIGHTING THE PATH TO SAFER COMMUNITIES ๐ฆ
LPU Cavite Community Outreach and Service-Learning (CSL) Office in partnership with the Sangguniang Barangay of Buenavista 3, General Trias City, Cavite successfully conducted Project โBarangay Tanod: Ilaw ng Lansanganโ last May 5, 2026 at the covered court of the said barangay with support from the Philippine National Police, Gen. Trias City, Cavite.
Barangay Tanods were equipped through training on crime prevention, emergency response, and conflict resolution, led by a highly experienced PNP resource speaker, PSSg Jerome Vibar, who has a strong SWAT and law enforcement background.
One of the highlights of the activity was the distribution of high-quality flashlights to aid Tanods in nighttime patrols, improving visibility and strengthening community safety.
This annual activity covering communities in the city of General Trias was powered by the active volunteerism of Academic Support Personnel (ASP) and senior leaders of LPU Cavite reflecting true service and leadership in action.
