The Regional Science Research Center (RSRC) proudly participated in the Turnover Ceremony of six (6) Indoor LED Walls and ten (10) Electronic Billboards under the Smart Campus Initiative of Mindanao State University–General Santos, held on May 25, 2026, at the AVR Library.

This milestone reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to digital transformation, innovation, and improved institutional communication systems that will strengthen academic, research, extension, and public engagement efforts across the campus.

Representing the RSRC, Dr. John Paul S. Tosoc, Center Head, formally received the newly designated LED Wall for the Center during the symbolic turnover ceremony, highlighting the RSRC’s active role in promoting smart research and science communication initiatives within the University.

The installation of these advanced digital infrastructures is expected to greatly enhance information dissemination, scientific presentations, research showcases, and institutional visibility, further supporting the University’s goal to become a globally competitive, technology-driven academic institution.

The RSRC extends its appreciation to the University Administration, the Information and Communications Technology Office (ICTO), and all stakeholders involved in the successful implementation of this Smart Campus Initiative.

He will be mentored by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐕. 𝐁𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧, 𝐀𝐎, 𝐏𝐡𝐃, a leading clinician-scientist in global cancer research whose work in pancreatic cancer, genomics, and precision oncology has helped shape modern approaches to personalized medicine. His leadership in large-scale, multidisciplinary research programs has significantly advanced translational science and clinical impact worldwide.

Aligned with the Academy’s mentoring framework, this engagement provides strategic benefits, including guidance on career planning, access to global research networks, leadership development, and an independent platform to critically evaluate research directions and decisions.

These benefits are expected to strengthen the 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 by enhancing research capacity, fostering international collaborations, and improving mentorship practices.
