Aquafest 2025 came to a powerful close as students showcased their passion, teamwork, and competitive drive across all events. This year’s competition highlighted not only individual talent but also the collective strength of each zone. After days of intense performances, the final results proudly reveal the champions who rose to the top.

𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟭: 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗮 emerged as the 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 with an impressive 𝟲𝟯𝟬 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻. Their consistency, discipline, and standout performances across multiple activities secured their well-deserved victory.

Following closely was 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟯: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗛𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟲𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 under the leadership of 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘀. Their determination and competitive drive kept the audience engaged until the very end.

In third place, 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟮: 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝟱𝟲𝟬 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀, guided by 𝗘𝗹 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀. Their commitment and teamwork proved essential in showcasing the zone’s vibrant spirit.

Aquafest 2025 once again demonstrated the unity and enthusiasm of the Junior Aquaculturists’ Society. Each team contributed to a memorable celebration filled with energy, camaraderie, and pride. As the waves of Aquafest settle, the legacy of this year’s champions and participants continues to inspire the community.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑱𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒏: 𝑴𝒓. 𝑱𝑨𝑺 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 !

The recent Mr. JAS 2025 highlighted the charisma, confidence, and talent of this year's exceptional contestants. The event showcased not only their charm and stage presence, but also their ability to communicate themselves clearly and effectively.

𝗞𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟭 emerged as the night's star, winning Best in Production and eventually becoming Mr. JAS 2025. 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟮 astonished both the judges and the audience by receiving Best in Casual Attire and Best in Opening Statement, ensuring his place as 1st Runner-Up. 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟯 completed the top three with an outstanding performance, winning the distinction of 2nd Runner-up.

More than a showcase of talent, the competition reflected the vibrant spirit and unity of Aquafest 2025, creating an unforgettable experience for the Junior Aquaculturists’ Society.

𝑴𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒄 𝑻𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝑨𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓🎤🎶

The Aquafest 2025 Musical Competition concluded with an impressive exhibition of talent, passion, and creativity. The stage was alive with energy as participants performed emotional solos and powerful duets, enthralling the audience and bringing each performance to life.

𝗥𝗮𝘆 𝗭𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟯 won the Solo Category, with 𝗘𝗱𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟭 being the first runner-up.

The Duet Category was equally remarkable, with 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟯 winning the championship. 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟭 were named first runner-up, with 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗱𝗷𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗸𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝟮 finishing second.

Here are the outstanding judges who helped in creating the 𝗔𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 to be compelling with their experience, impartiality, and love for music.

Their efforts were crucial in elevating each performance to a masterpiece of artistry.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | A powerful call for environmental action and data literacy took center stage at the 6th FOI Multi-Arts Festival, where a young writer from Mindanao stood out among participants nationwide. The festival, organized by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and held at The Bellevue Hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa, celebrated artworks and stories that empower the public through access to information.

One of the event’s major highlights was the recognition of outstanding student pieces. Earl Owen Ares, a second-year aquaculture student from the College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences of Mindanao State University–General Santos City, clinched 1st Place in the Essay Writing–English Category with his entry “When Data Speaks and No One Listens.”

Ares’ essay tackled a pressing issue in the digital age: the abundance of accessible information that often remains unused or misunderstood, resulting in inaction—particularly on urgent environmental concerns. His piece underscored how data, though powerful, becomes meaningless when ignored, misinterpreted, or left without concrete action. Following the announcement of winners, Ares shared his sentiments, describing the victory as both unexpected and deeply meaningful.

“Winning at a national level felt surreal—happy, accomplished, yet humbled. I had no expectations at all since I joined without fully knowing the contest details or the organizations behind it. But beyond grateful pa rin,” he said.

The festival, themed “Ensuring Access to Environmental Data in the Digital Age,” sought to emphasize the importance of accurate and accessible environmental information. It encouraged the youth—and the public at large—to use creativity and critical thinking in transforming data into art that inspires awareness, community action, and evidence-based policymaking.

Ares also offered words of encouragement to aspiring writers and artists hoping to make their mark beyond their local communities.

“To my fellow writers who dream of reaching the national stage or standing on the podium: don’t just write—feel your words. Write with your heart, not just your hand. Don’t stop showing up for your craft. Your moment will find you the way this one found me.”

His win not only brought pride to MSU-Gensan but also amplified a timely message: data becomes power only when people choose to listen and act.
