On May 16, 2024, the students of Notre Dame of Dadiangas University engaged in a community clean-up drive in Barangay Lagao. This initiative was part of their community engagement requirement, focusing on cleaning and unclogging canals. The primary goal of this activity was to provide the residents with clean, waste-free canals, thereby improving and enhancing the local environment.

The students worked diligently to remove debris and waste that had accumulated in the canals, which are vital for proper drainage and preventing flooding. By doing so, they not only contributed to the immediate cleanliness of the area but also helped promote better health and sanitation for the community. This clean-up drive underscores the importance of active community participation in maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment.
