The Community Extension Program held its graduation for its 10 beneficiaries for their Community-based Feeding program. With all its beneficiaries who reached their normal body index which means they are no longer undernourished; the graduation was held last February 23, 2024, at Batomelong Elementary School, Batomelong, General Santos City. The beneficiaries received their individual certificates and vitamins in the said event.

The CEP family were honored and would like to give their heartfelt gratitude towards Maโ€™am Valiree B. Solivio, Chief Executive Officer of Solid View Hospitality Group Corporation who integrated the celebration of her birthday to the Graduation of the Feeding program by donating 10 kgs of rice and 1 whole chicken and pack lunch (spaghetti and Chicken) to the parent and the beneficiary of the feeding program.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to Maโ€™am Shiela Mae Forro, RSW, an alumni of this institution, the Cronasia Foundation College Inc. for becoming the bridge of help between the CEP organization and Maโ€™am Solivio.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to Maโ€™am Anady Jalani LPT, the focal person for the feeding program, who led and made sure that the said activity was organized. To Ma'am Mohaira Alaba Hadji, LPT for being the Emcee of the said activity. Also to Maโ€™am Mary Jean Malunes LPT, MAED the Batomelong Elementary School Principal for the support. To Barangay Captain Hon. Alikhain Bentaib and Barangay Councilor Hon. Noraiha Ngilay Chio for being a great support to this program.

Alongside the feeding program in Batomelong is the FAITH Project which stands for Food Always in the Home. The checking of this project was also held on the same day where it is now in its harvesting phase which also means that the project is successful and ongoing.

With this endeavor, we aspire to help more children, reach out to more people, and touch more hearts.

A HAND TO HELP, A HEART TO SHARE!

It has been said that when our hearts are brimming with generosity, we can bestow love upon those in need. Indeed, the children of Batomelong Elementary School experienced the warmth of genuine care and love, generously shared by a philanthropist.

On October 13, 2023, beneficiaries of the Community Extension Program (CEP) were fortunate to receive essential supplies, including Vitamin C, hygiene kits, and personal items from Ms. Stephanie Jane Zamora. This noble undertaking not only demonstrates unwavering support in the battle against malnutrition but also imparts valuable lessons on good hygiene to these children.

The occasion was a heartwarming one, with Ms. Stephanie expressing her commitment to this act of kindness. She shared that her abundance of blessings from the Lord inspired her to extend this generosity to the children. She remains hopeful that these young recipients will, in turn, pay it forward to others in the future.

The CFCI Community Extension team extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Zamora for choosing our community as the recipient of her benevolence. Your kindness is a beacon of hope in the lives of our children. We encourage you to continue blessing others, and we stand by you in your pursuit of success. We would also like to express our gratitude to the Makiputin family for supporting Ms. Zamora and for their kindness towards the children. Special thanks to Ma'am Morista Buday for organizing this meaningful event, the CFCI CEP OJT team for their meticulous coordination, the CEP volunteers for their invaluable assistance, and Sir Ronelo for his unwavering support and to GUSDAK Development Center for providing us with rice each month for our feeding program. This event would not have been successful without your collective efforts.

We hope that this noble gesture will touch many hearts and inspire others to join us in our mission to uplift our community."

On September 18, 2023, the relaunching of the Community Extension Program's Community-based Feeding Program took place. This initiative was made possible through a partnership with Barangay Batomelong and Deped Tayo Batomelong Elementary School, under the leadership of Ma'am Malunes, the school Principal, and Ma'am Anady Jalani, a faculty teacher and the Focal person for the feeding program. The relaunching event was attended by ten severely undernourished children between the ages of five and twelve, who are pupils of Batomelong Elementary School, along with their parents and guardians. The activity also integrated the FAITH Project (Food Always In The Home), wherein the ten parents/guardians received seedlings from the Department of Agriculture. The FAITH Project aims to establish a community garden and encourage backyard gardening among the beneficiaries of the Community-based Feeding Program. The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) also transpired during the same event..

In light of this, the CFC Community Extension Program wishes to extend its heartfelt gratitude to its partners, especially Batomelong Elementary School, particularly the school Principal, Ma'am Malunes, and the feeding program's focal person and elementary Teacher, Ma'am Anady Jalani, for their acceptance of this partnership and their dedicated efforts towards the program's success. Special thanks also go to Sir Ronelo, the Acting Dean of CSSH, for supporting and initiating the program, as well as to the Social Work Interns for their facilitation and coordination of this activity. Your collective efforts are greatly appreciated, and in pursuit of a shared vision, let us all continue to work diligently to combat malnutrition and create a brighter future for the next generation."

"Feeding the hungry isn't just about nourishing their bodies; it's about feeding their hopes, dreams, and potential for a brighter future."

The CSSH Acting Dean, Mr. Ronelo A. Saulong, RSW, and CEP Coordinator, Ms. Honey Rosales, RSW, led a meeting in collaboration with Batomelong Elementary School, involving Principal Ma'am Malunes and Elementary Teacher Ma'am Anady Jalani as the focal person. This meeting was facilitated by the CFC Social Work Interns. The purpose of this meeting was to prepare for the relaunch of a Community-based Feeding Program in partnership with DepEd Tayo Batomelong Elementary School. Ten severely malnourished children have been selected as beneficiaries.

This project serves as a supplement to Batomelong Elementary School's existing school-based feeding program. The relaunch event will be attended by the 10 beneficiaries, their parents, interns, and partners.

Together, let's dream big for our children and ensure that malnutrition doesn't shatter their future."
