Matagumpay na ipinagdiwang ang panapos na palatuntunan ng Buwan ng Wika, na pinangunahan ng Tagapamahala ng Programa na si G. Cyrill Paul H. Dunken. Naging makulay at makabuluhan ang pagdiriwang na tampok ang pagpapakitang-gilas ng mga mag-aaral sa pagsusuot ng makukulay na kasuotang Pilipino, Digital Poster-Making, at pag-awit ng kundiman.

𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦| 𝗡𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻̃𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗦𝗖 𝗪𝗔𝗣 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽

Building on her three-medal haul at the SRAA Meet 2025—one gold and two bronze medals—13 years old Janina Kate L. Nalañgan added another gold to her growing collection after ruling the Olympic Round at the PSC WAP Philippine National Archery Championship Leg 3, held recently, at Tionko Football Field in Davao City.

Nalañgan posted 332/360 points in Round 1 and 308/360 points in Round 2 before advancing to the Olympic Round, where she captured the gold medal.

The archer entered the competition with limited preparation after weeks without training, but still surpassed her training average of around 270 points in both qualifying rounds.

"Janina's performance was spectacular; despite having a short period of time training and adjusting from weeks of no training, tremors, and the hot environment, she performed well in the competition," coach Ralph David A. Fuentes said.

She maintained her composure through the elimination stage, eventually securing the top spot in the Olympic Round to add another gold medal to her record.

Her preparation was disrupted when a strong earthquake forced training to be suspended for more than a week. The lack of essential archery equipment, particularly arrows and their components, also affected her training period.

Despite the interruptions, Nalañgan resumed training and attended early-morning sessions at Acharon Sports Complex while balancing her studies.

"Her efforts in training by waking up early and going to Acharon Sports Complex to train, while balancing her studies before training, contributed greatly to her success," Fuentes said.

Fuentes also credited Nalañgan's family, particularly her mother, Mrs. Janibel Nalañgan, for supporting her preparation and competition.

Nalañgan continues to compete and develop her skills in archery as she works toward higher-level competitions and her goal of eventually representing the Philippines internationally.

After the disruption brought by the 7.8-magnitude earthquake, classes have officially resumed as the school community continues its journey toward recovery, safety, and learning.

The resumption of classes began with a flag ceremony, symbolizing unity, hope, and the collective commitment of learners, teachers, and the entire school community to move forward despite the challenges brought by the disaster.

Following the ceremony, learners and personnel participated in an orientation and safety drills focused on proper actions during an earthquake and other possible disasters. The activities emphasized the importance of staying calm, knowing the safest places to go, following evacuation procedures, and responding properly during emergencies.

The school also reinforced its intentions and commitment to the safety and protection of every learner and school personnel. Through continuous preparedness, awareness, and cooperation, everyone is reminded that safety must always come first.

As classes resume, may we continue to stand together with courage, vigilance, and Bayanihan spirit. Let us learn, rebuild, and move forward—stronger and more prepared for whatever challenges may come.

SM Store Turnovers ₱598K Worth of School Supplies to Nine Public Schools in General Santos City

GENERAL SANTOS CITY — SM Store General Santos turned over ₱598,000 worth of essential school supplies to nine recipient elementary and integrated schools during a formal ceremony held on Wednesday morning, August 12, at San Jose Elementary School.

The donation activity was spearheaded by SM Store GSC Branch Manager Mark Cyril C. Katada, alongside SM Store staff members who personally facilitated the handover of the learning materials to representatives of the beneficiary schools.

The generous donation was distributed among the following schools:
- San Jose Elementary School
- Ondok Gawan Elementary School
- Changco Elementary School
- Ricvill Integrated School
- Tanda Elementary School
- T’bag Elementary School
- Antonio Pendatun Elementary School
- Klolang Elementary School
- Mongkik Elementary School

Among the key institutional partners, Ondok Gawan Elementary School expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the SM Store management and staff.
