HIBLA NG PAMANA | SUCCESSFULLY WOVEN! 🧶✨
Heritage and Identity, Building Leadership and Arts—Nurturing Growth through Culture, Artistic Expression, and Peace Advocacy, Mutual Respect, Awareness, Nation-building, and Active Youth Engagement
The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Batangan National High School successfully conducted HIBLA NG PAMANA on September 1, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the Batangan NHS Covered Court.
With the theme of cultural awareness and preservation, the program highlighted the rich heritage of the Dumagat-Remontado community through meaningful learning and artistic expression.
The day began with the Philippine National Anthem, opening prayer, and the General Nakar Hymn, followed by inspiring opening remarks from our SSLG Adviser, Mrs. Julie Loyd M. Dacpano. Our Masters of Ceremony, Angel Mae Moises, SSLG President and Princess Shanara Coronacion, SSLG Vice President, gracefully led the program.
Learners were deeply engaged by our resource speaker, Ms. Wilma Quierrez, who shared invaluable knowledge on the culture, traditions, identity, and way of life of the Dumagat-Remontado. The program also featured:
🎭An intermission performance by Grade 12 students
📖Dumagat-Remontado Storytelling Activity for Grades 7-9 — stories told in their native language and translated for deeper understanding
🌳Tree of Pamana for Grades 10-12 — where learners shared their reflections and lessons, symbolizing how culture grows and lives on
We are deeply grateful to our School Principal II, Mrs. Anna Liza C. Romantico for her closing message and unwavering support, to all teachers, learners, and SSLG officers and adviser who facilitated the event.
HIBLA NG PAMANA reminded us that our culture is not just part of our past — it is the thread that weaves our identity, unity, and future. As young leaders, we are called to be keepers and sharers of this heritage.
Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nakiisa! Sama-sama nating panatilihing buhay ang hibla ng ating pamana.
