Humility is the quality of being modest, respectful, and willing to recognize one’s limitations while remaining open to learning and growth. It involves valuing others, accepting feedback, and not placing oneself above others despite achievements or abilities. Below is how humility is demonstrated in different areas of education:

For Learners
Humility among learners is shown when they:
Listen attentively to their teachers and peers
Accept mistakes and view them as opportunities for improvement
Avoid boasting about their abilities or achievements
Show willingness to help and collaborate with others
A humble learner acknowledges that learning is a continuous process and remains open to guidance and correction.

For Teachers
Teachers demonstrate humility when they:
Remain open to the ideas and perspectives of their students
Acknowledge that they, too, have more to learn
Use their authority responsibly and with fairness
Treat all learners with respect and understanding
A humble teacher fosters a positive learning environment by modeling respect, openness, and lifelong learning.

For the School
A school that upholds humility:
Listens to the needs and concerns of its stakeholders
Embraces change and continuous improvement
Shares its successes to benefit others rather than to seek recognition
Such a school promotes a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and shared responsibility.

For the Community
In the community, humility is reflected through:
Respect for all individuals regardless of status or background
Cooperation and unity toward common goals
Openness to different opinions for the common good
A humble community values collective progress over individual recognition and encourages mutual support.

Conclusion
Humility is an essential value that strengthens relationships, promotes lifelong learning, and fosters harmony. When practiced by learners, teachers, schools, and communities, it contributes to a more respectful, inclusive, and progressive educational environment.

"𝗦𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗱 𝗸𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗸𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗶𝗻𝘆𝗼,” 𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗸𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻, “𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗼 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗼, 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻." — 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮𝘀 29:11

Weekly Value Focus: CONVICTION

Conviction is a firm belief and determination to do what is right even when there are challenges or difficulties around us. It is the courage to stand by our principles and values even when it is not the easiest choice to make. When a person has conviction, they do not easily give up or get influenced by others to do what is wrong.

In school, conviction is important because it helps every student choose to do the right thing—being honest in their work, striving hard in their studies, and showing respect to others. Having a strong conviction helps develop good character and responsible behavior.

Conviction begins with simple decisions to choose what is right every day. Even small actions such as following rules, being honest, and helping others are clear signs of true conviction.

May this serve as an inspiration for every learner to remain strong in doing what is good. Through conviction, we are guided to do what is right and become better individuals and responsible members of our community.

05/03/2026

1 Corinto 13:13
"At ngayon nananatili ang tatlo;
pananampalataya,pag -asa at pag-ibig;

Mateo 25: 35-36
" Sapagkat ako'y nagugutom at ako'y inyong pinakain; ako'y nauuhaw at ako'y inyong pinainom. Ako'y isang dayuhan at inyo akong pinatuloy. Ako'y hubad at inyo akong dinamitan, nagkasakit at inyong dinalaw, nabilanggo at inyong pinuntahan."
Mateo 25:40

Juan 13:34-35
"Isang bagong utos ang ibinibigay ko sa inyo ngayon;
magmahalan kayo!

Let our school be known not only for excellence , but more for compassion.
Mateo 24:35

In accordance with the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) Memorandum Circular No. 2026-02, Virginia D. Dulay Integrated School joins the nation in the 2026 National Women's Month Celebration (NWMC) throughout the month of March.

This year’s sub-theme “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!” reaffirms that women’s leadership is a fundamental part of Filipino identity. Just like the Babaylans (spiritual leaders - primarily women) in pre-colonial Philippines, women today continue to play a vital role in shaping society.

The 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration further underscores that women’s full participation is essential to sustainable progress. The celebration demonstrates how Filipino women continue to advance inclusive governance, peacebuilding, and community development locally and across the ASEAN region, emphasizing values-driven, community-centered leadership that advances gender equality and collaborative progress.
