The DOST-PAGASA has issued the following warnings:

Current weather systems affecting the country:

• Shear Line – impacting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao

Classes are hereby SUSPENDED starting 12:00 NOON in all Public and Private Schools in Sultan Kudarat due to the following DOST PAG-ASA Warnings and Advisory :

📍 Region XII (SOCCSKSARGEN)

Under the present weather conditions, a Shear Line is affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, while the Northeast Monsoon is affecting Luzon.

The 12-hour rainfall forecast indicates moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms, which may result in flooding in low-lying and riverine areas.

🌊 WATERCOURSES LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED:

• Sultan Kudarat – Rivers and tributaries, particularly Tian and Kraan
• South Cotabato – Rivers and tributaries, particularly Siquil, Makar, and Banga
• Sarangani – Rivers and tributaries, particularly Kalaong, Buayan-Malungon, Lun Padido, Lun Masla, and Glan
• North Cotabato – All rivers and tributaries

All students, teachers, and school personnel are advised to return home immediately and take necessary precautionary measures with their families.

Due to the series of earthquakes and possible aftershocks recently experienced in the Province of Sultan Kudarat, which may pose risks to public safety and the structural integrity of buildings, precautionary measures are hereby implemented to protect the general public.

In view thereof, and in the interest of safety and welfare, 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠, 𝐋𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐠 (𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐏𝐀) at all levels, in both public and private institutions, are hereby 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐟𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞.

These measures are adopted to minimize exposure to risk while ensuring that appropriate response actions are in place during the period of continuing seismic activity.

The public is strongly advised to exercise caution, stay indoors when possible, avoid coastal and structurally vulnerable areas, and continuously monitor official announcements for updates and further instructions.

PS: Classes are suspended province-wide, while the work suspension applies only to the coastal municipalities of Kalamansig, Lebak, and Palimbang.

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 95, and due to continuing seismic activity, work and classes in the Province of Sultan Kudarat are suspended starting tomorrow and until further notice. All schools at all levels, both public and private, are suspended province-wide. Work in government offices in Kalamansig, Lebak, and Palimbang (KALEPA) is also suspended, while the rest of the province will adopt a blended work-from-home arrangement.

Everyone is advised to stay safe, exercise caution, and monitor official announcements for updates.
