We proudly announce the QUALIFIERS of the Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) for incoming Grade 7 students at Escalante National High School. Of the 15 aspirants, 8 have been deemed qualified for higher-level journalism training.

πŸ“’ ANNOUNCEMENT | ENHS SPJ QUALIFYING EXAMS

The Escalante National High School Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) will conduct its Qualifying Examinations on March 24 and 25. Proceed to the Junior High School Biolab at 8:30 a.m.

Interested applicants may choose their preferred examination date. Aspiring learners are encouraged to participate and take part in the screening process.

Note: If you haven't passed an application form yet but have met the eligibity requirements, you may come to the school on the examination date of your choice.

Escalante National High School is pleased to announce that the Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) is now accepting Grade 7 applicants for School Year 2026–2027.

πŸ“Œ Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Requirements)
Applicants must have:
β€’ 90% or higher in English and Filipino (Grade 6)
β€’ At least 85% General Average
β€’ Talent in journalism (writing, broadcasting, or participation in press conferences)

πŸ“ School Office / Guardhouse Area

Submit the following:
β€’ Completed SPJ Application Form (available at the guardhouse or via online link)
β€’ Photocopy of Report Card
β€’ Sample journalistic works (if any)
β€’ Recommendation Letter from School Paper Adviser or English/Filipino teacher

Drop accomplished forms at the designated drop box at the guardhouse.
